Unfortunately doesn't work here at work...

BUT

Because you took the time to do this, I will watch tonight when I get home.

Thing is I'm pretty sure your doors are fine, but I had (and many others) to pay the dealership a few visits to "try" to get all these issues sorted out.
  • I'm on my second set of windows and had to re-do tints twice already. NEVER EVER had this streaking issue on ANY other car.
  • The "weee-eee-eee" sound is still present when there is water on the window (and inside the door). NEVER EVER had this issue on ANY other car.
  • Had to take both doors appart to fix all the rattling issues with the electric switches (ok this one I had with other cars)
  • Window on driver's side making that "clacking"' sound sometimes due to a not so perfect alignment. NEVER EVER had this issue with ANY other car.
  • The programming of the switches as to be redone everytime the window freezes. NEVER EVER had this with ANY other car.
  • Windows sometimes freezes open in winter (how convenient) NEVER EVER had this bla bla bla you know where I'm going...

Anyway, YOURS (and some others) might be just fine, but MINES are a F*****G pain.

The "opening" of them is just fine though!

Can we discuss??

Anyone second the fact that you are not bringing anything to help out right now?

Do you think you own the internet?

No one has the "weeeee" sound when it's rainy and you lower the windows?

wow... I must be making this up...!

edit: oh and I forgot about the windows freezing open and the programmed up/down feature losing it at the same time...

window/door issues? nahhhh... must be in my head.

Seriously I love this car, but the guy that designed the doors/windows should be fired.
I never claimed it was in your head. I suggested that maybe something changed along the line (I had a very early car from the first deliveries to the US) or there is some terrible QC. You are basically doing the opposite by not believing that some of us did not have issues BTW. Clearly some cars are fine, and some of them have issues in these areas.

My tint never got scratched up (a few scuffs maybe but I don't recall any specifically), they never made a clank sound when closing and the window went up, etc. I also never had them freeze open but I do believe I saw a thread about that on here. I did have issues with the passenger auto up/down but that was a known issue on early cars and a new part fixed it.

I don't think I ever lowered the windows when it was raining so I can't comment on the "weeee" sound.

Well we really did go off topic with the doors and windows conversation and the DIY itself is somewhat pointless...

I agree we're a bit off but I've seen threads in here going way far out of wack than this one...

Anyway, I sure do know that many owners never had these issues, but they are not rarely seen.

Proof all the threads on these subjects...

these parts are changed in 2015 production to solve some trunk noise, as described in SB12-114 (Subaru).
Here you find the new parts code.

Edit: Excuse - Cant make youtube link work.....Argh

Video of my doors and trunk opening and closing with nearly zero effort (and NO slamming).

Got it! I'll try to shoot a quick vid of what mine's are doing these days...

I'll probably have to take them apart again this weekend, if weather is fine...

The "clacking" when I open/close is starting to scare me a little.
