So we can reprogram it ourselves? I thought this was a dealer-only type thing.

Only if you have a TPMS programmer like the ATEQ Quickset

When I changed my wheels the shop broke one of my sensors. They replaced it free of charge but I guess that they don't work probably since the computer of the car and the new sensor are not synchronized. I get the false low pressure warning since then. How can I fix this? Thank you!

Have the shop that broke it do it. If they don't have the tools, have them pay to have the dealership broke it. You shouldn't have to pay for that, they're the ones that screwed up.

Hey yall,

I have some questions about these TPMS sensors. hope someone here can be of help. (an hopefully this the the correct place to be posting this)

I have recently been rebuilding some wheels for my BRZ and am going with a stretched tire look.. yes i said it. STRETCHED

Anyway, I know i will have to be very attentive to the tires.
Should i bother moving my TPMS's to the stretched tire?

Can i reprogram them to my desired pressure range?

Is stretching the tires over the wheel (Involving Fire) going to fry the sensors?

Anyone run on TPMS sensors stretched tires? or yolo, just leave them out?

the tires themselves have nothing to do with the sensors. they will be moved to the WHEEL if you decide so. the valve stem placement for the sensors should not interfere with the bead seating unless you're trying to stretch something completely ridiculous such as a 195 on a 11" wheel lol. at that point you'll have much more to worry about than TMPS sensors

why are you using fire? you can easily achieve the same bead seal with 1 or 2 "cheetah" tire bead seater blasts.

I'm certainly not an expert on the subject, but every video i have seen sealing stretched tired involve some janky spraying of flammable aerosol and a fireball.

Nothing crazy with the stretch 215 on 10" i would be relieved to know there is a more "proper" way of doing it.

just take your tires to a reputable shop that has experience doing it. They'll just use a few blasts from the cheetah and you'll be good to go.

From what I've read you get a dash light when the tire(s) are 25% low.

(25% LOW ON AIR)

What are the point of these things again?

To keep people from driving around on 10PSI, which I see regularly on my commute still.

Some cars give you a readout on the on board computer for each wheel. Why we can't have that in every car is beyond me. BMW even got rid of individual readouts around 2010, apparently people were too confused
