Ways to squeeze more power out of a stock FR-S?

I'm mainly looking for cost effective solutions to increase the power output for my 13' FRS. I've gained maybe a pony or two from removing the stock airbox muffling tube (the one that hides behind the bumper cover).

Honestly.... I'm fine with the power it makes now (It's a ton more than a Miata, that's for certain!) but I just want it to backfire.

I want to keep it N/A, and I know exhaust and header choices will help me immensely....

Tune

If you want more than just a tune alone, header + tune
More? header + exhaust + intake + tune
More? turbo/sc

Easiest solution is catless header + E85 tune. With my full exhaust + e85 + panel filter + tune, I was at 204whp on a dyno that reads stock cars around 165-170. So that's about a 35hp increase.

Backfiring and lift-off popping are more related to your tune than anything else. You're more likely to get that noise if you go completely catless (that is, catless header + catless front pipe).

This one?

If so, I'd put it back in
