It's no different than people posting their mods all over the internet and wondering why the manufacturer might deny a warranty claim. It sucks, but you have to pay to play.
It's unethical regardless. I've never had an issue with this when being insured by either Nationwide or American Family, and I've been upfront about my activities. I've also never heard of State Farm ever taking issue with this kind of activity either.

I get not being covered under my insurance policy while being on track, but not being dropped altogether due to my spending time on track/autox

Just picked up $342/6 months from State Farm. 24 years old with one wreck as my fault (back when I was 17). That's with full coverage on it too.

I find this very hard to believe.

Anyone have any experience with Allied? Got a good quote from them but their reputation is far from steller.

I can believe it. I'm close to the same area in Ohio, also with State Farm, and just called for a quote today. My agent quoted me $40/month or $240/6 month premium, or about $4/month more than the Forester XT we'll be trading in. I'm 41 with a clean record, well I did have one ticket out of state two years ago, but they don't report points, so no points or accidents.

Will they let you stay on your parent's plan? I'm 21 with the save driving record as you and I've been talking with progressive and I can only stay on my parents plan if the car is titled in their name. If the loan is in my name then the car has to be titled in my name right? Sucks because I'm gonna be paying more than double on my own than with my parents policy.

Just got my VIN so I was finally able to obtain my quote. $480 for annual premium with $1,000 deductible. I do have multi coverage with my wife's 2011 RAV4 and on our home with the same insurance company, but I was happy about this quote.
