I wish the car had a longer 6th gear ratio. On long road trips ... seems the revs are very high. Car is working hard just to stay at 75-85 mph. I don't notice this around town.

Hey @Jviveros2 it is OK to come out of hiding (I see you lurking in the shadows)! We have all taken our medication and get along again.
Welcome to just another day at the forum.

The touchscreen unit is a downgrade.

Anywayyyss.... lol

I didn't think I would get that many responses but its great to see there's support on this site!
Clearing up a few things:
By 'non car guy' I meant very little knowledge about cars but after reading a few posts I guess there are many different ways to classify a 'car guy'. I do very much enjoy driving, I am really interested in cars that pass by in the street, and I have slowly but surely been watching random videos of car reviews and such.

My ideal purchase would be a white FRS monogram.. it has enough luxury and goodies that caught my attention. However, I have not been able to find one! I've checked every website and I can't find one. I know most of those parts I can purchase separately, it would be nice to have them 'stock' already.

Also, I've only been passenger in my friend's MT limited BRZ and he drove it through the city which already was an experience! I have only SAT in the driver's seat at a car show, not actually driven one myself.

Wheh thought we scared you away!
Monograms may be tough to find even used. If not in a hurry they might (just might not will) announce a 2016 special release soon which may have the features of a Monogram. Will of course cost you more though.
The other option is of course a BRZ that comes with the goodies that the Monogram has.

Yes I gave that some thought to get the BRZ. This is where my lack of car knowledge kicks in. I know I can get a base BRZ and install a nice head unit, head lamps, and frameless rear view mirror.. But I couldn't find anything on how (or if you can) install a legit pushbutton start, and soft touch dashboard.

The dashboards are the same, and the BRZ Limited is push-to-start.

There are ways to install it all and most can be found on here but the BRZ limited should have almost everything the Monogram does. There are guys that could be more specific here I am sure.

I mean they will all drive the same so might as well go test drive one with specs close to what you want(just to get a feel for the car). I myself was looking for a monogram a few months ago but they are so hard to find and all I found were Auto's so I decided to go for another model trim. If you are looking for a monogram the Subaru Limited (maybe even sport-tech) might be a better choice as they are easier to find and there are much more of them(sellers are probably more inclined to haggle with you vs the monogram)

USA so they don't have the Sport Tech. That is the Limited down there.

The only negative was it made the car even slower...
Mine retired when the passenger door panel blew off on the 401. It flew a long way though.
