Cool is used more frequently in an uninterested or sarcastic sense.

Example a) girlfriend calls to tell you her best friend's dog died. You reply with "oh, cool"

I guess I'm old now, too. I was really confused because I've seen people say a car was "clean" when it was stock as well. I just made this out to be more than it should have been. In any case, it still annoys the shit out of me.

clean

adjective
  • nice, excellent, worthy of envy; "cool"; "tight"; "awesome"; etc.
    Her new car is clean!

How the hell do you think I feel!? Even "clean" is on it's way out here now. The new word is "mint". No matter how badly beat up or worn it is if it is cool then it is "mint".

Or in the whole "we ok, all cool?" sense or the famous "cool story bro" context.

I'm guessing you guys have heard the phrase "your car is wet bro!"

I guess "wet" is a new way of saying cool?..

Lingo changes every couples of months it seems like...

So, since it has been raining here all weekend, right after my FRS went through the car wash, and the temps have fallen below normal I can say:

"Bro, my ride is cool, clean and wet."

Have I got it right now?

Well I guess wet would result in clean which is cool and a mint does that to your breath so they all tie together.
I have lived through groovy, fly, rad, premo, awsum, excellent, etc. etc. (too many to keep going) so will make it through these ones as well I guess.

The worst I've heard is "lit"...

Every time I hear someone use "lit" to describe something that is "poppin" or "off the chain" I just want to punch them in the face.

I haven't heard "off the chain" since middle school...

Wait, so since its not being towed, I used a new air freshener when I got it washed, and the DRLs are on I need to modify this,

"Bro, my ride is so off the chain, it is totally mint, cool, clean, wet and lit."

Can't be wet and lit at the same time.

Fire and water mix fine for burning...just ask the US Government (new ICD-10 codes that went into effect this month include...)
