The only thing you cannot do to an auto that you can do to a manual is a lightweight flywheel or aftermarket clutch. Everything else is fair game. They even make carbon fiber driveshafts for the auto. |

I usually get a bunch of 1910s strongmen to push the back of my AT at the same time. When they all get in position, I yell "Launch Control" and they push at the same time. It is a pretty good system. As for making your AT faster, get an OpenFlash Tablet and use Wayno's AT tune which has the fuel mapping and timing maps from the MT. (http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=83945) |

The best bang per buck on the auto is 4.88 final drive gear. Shorter gears and .3 tenth shifts will be awesome at a track. That's my next mod.

Hit up Visconti for a tune. He'll include launch control, along with other surprises. You may also get to change the color of your car to Hot Lava! |

I'm currently equipped with FA20 4-1 header, catback exhaust, K&N filter, Phantom ESC 1.5 250TQ, and open flash tune, but I couldn't launch it properly, should I get a custom tune from shiv to optimize the power ?

Serious answer: gear change. The AT has taller gearing for fuel economy, not sure where the right threads are, spend some time googling. It will not get you 100% of the way there but is a good chunk of it.

If all you care about is launching from a dig, get a high rpm torque converter and a 5.1 final drive. Do the calcs and you will see how bananas it'll be

Why is this such a big deal? The AT isn't THAT much slower is it?
