Wait till you check out most new German cars where the paint on the outside is glossy but on the inside of the same panel it's matte finish. Lean and six sigma at its best!

Also for Subarus a lot of places where they are normally hidden from view with the doors / hood / trunk closed, they aren't finished very well. But I just laugh it off and forget about it. Welcome to globalization.

I'm guessing that the white you see is just the Primer (layer)

Correct.

My WRB BRZ had a wavy door from the factory and "missing" paint in multiple areas.

Mine had 8 miles and I had pictures and such from the dealer during unloading, etc.

Garage
before you ask, i would like to let you know the engine would make a lot cricket noise. it is normal. The stereo sounds horrible with high volume, it is normal. the navigation is slow, that is normal. The paint chip very very easily, that is normal subaru paint. for 2015, the tail light will not have condensation. the rpm does not drop at idle (at least my 6 speed manual idle perfect at every time).

car with 120 miles, sometimes the manager takes new car home. or sometimes dealers trade cars or relocate, maybe the salesman drove the car from one dealer to another. cheaper than have it tow. Since it seats low and RWD, tow might even be very complicated. You waited 2 hour prior delivery, could be just prepping the car or checking your paper work to make sure no mistake. When i was picking up my series blue, my car still in plastic wrap and they made me come back 1 day later because they have to perform Predelivery inspection..i think it was a series of check list they have to make sure everything works and looks great prior hand you the key. Anyway, just enjoy the econo sports car and have fun.

Hate to break it to you but actually I have seen 2015 at parking lots with condensation in the rear lights lol!

My headunit sounds much better since I got those reference EQ settings from this forum, and I've even cured the background hiss with my iPod Classic by using a Furutech ADL iD-30PA 30pin to USB cable (I tried a TDK Ferrite Core on the stock sync cable but that didn't help).

At least the car handles very well for a modern car.

I would contact your insurance company to file a diminished value claim.

Fashionably late to the party but...

Prepare for your first of many rockchips. Even if you never drive behind cars that have sticky tires/trucks/etc., you will still get a rock chip.

In @Tcoat's case, an LCA if I recall correctly.

An airborn, high velocity one with magical directional change abilities to be precise. And don't forget the bouncing Neon tail light assembly to the top of the front bumper or the fabulous flying fuel line to the hood. I am slowly building a beater out of the car parts that have hit me on the highway.

Well, better this car than your future high dollar purchase, yes?

I shudder at the thought of the bill to fix anything lowest end Porsche to supercar range

Which is exactly why my plan for the future includes the FRS for 3 more years and then one more 4 year something (will see what is out there at the time) too get me to retirement and less that 14 hours a week spent on the highway. Then (depending on what they are like) into the Type F or a mid/upper range Porsche.
