Current Mods: RCE Yellows, Camber Bolts, RPF1 17x9 +35, Hankook RS3 245/40-17, JDL UEL Header, OFT E85 Tune, K&N Filter
My suggestion for you.

OP, if you do go with the Strano bar, they don't have any fitment issues anymore. I won't recommend one over the other, but most people use either the Strano bar or the Whiteline bar.

I needed whiteline adjustable end links to make it work

A lot. I would say about 2" but I also have an early Strano bar. You can try it without first and add the end links later of you have running issues on anything.

I was getting pretty competitive at local events in CS. Then got header and tune. After reading this thread and seeing all the mods recommended I'm glad I just AutoX for fun

Yeah, I'm playing with the idea of building an STX car to go do nationals once or twice in a few years, car is so good with camber I don't want to do CS. I'm ballparking myself at least $7k away from even considering my car competitive:

Coilovers ~$3k
Front sway bar ~$200
Rear LCA ~$450
(Camber Plates: already bought)
17x9 Wheel, 245-40-17 Tires: ~$2k
(Brake Pads/fluid: already bought)
Header/Tune ~$2k? I haven't researched this one yet...

That should be all the big ticket stuff, could easily spend a few thousand more on bushings, weight reduction, more expensive parts (I'll bet my bottom dollar someone shows up to Nationals next year on Penske's if there wasn't someone on them this year already) or save a couple hundred bucks on buying used parts, some cheaper versions of what I have in mind, revalving non-adjustible dampers etc.

that's basically my list so far.

I still need the header, tune and front bar, but otherwise, yeah....

Do most of you STX folk run like 1/16"-1/8" rear toe in? I assume yes since that's standard issue RWD setup. I run at least -1/8" in my SM 240, but curious what the preferred street tire setup is.

I guess I'll start with -1/16" and see how it goes.

My list so far is:

Racer-x rlca w/ poly
MCS singles
raceseng cascam and raceseng rear 1" mounts
400/400# to start
17x9 RPF1s with 255/40s
Whiteline shifter bushing
Whiteline diff bushing retainer thing
Whiteline subframe spacer bushings
Whiteline front bar + endlinks (yet to buy)
header (haven't decided yet, probably nameless?)
2.5" perrin exhaust setup

yeah that's it.

I'm not the arbiter of such things, but I've seen them listed in the parts lists for two recent STX cars so I assumed they were.

I'm assuming we'll be corrected shortly if they're not lol

I have a newer Strano bar, and it worked fine with stock end links. I've since switched to adjustable links to remove preload, but no fitment issues with the stock ones.

I really appreciate the feedback. So, is preload a bad thing? I'm still figuring this out as I go.

I'm running aftermarket springs as well. One of the problems with springs is that they're alot wider than coilovers.

I'm currently running 245s and under very hard turning/accelerating I can hear the tires hitting the springs. I'm only running 1.5 negative camber in the front, your negative 2 camber will probably have issues, just things to consider
