in your opinion, what is the future for dampening, how much is still to be on the horizon? Are there still universal deficiencies in the world of dampening?

Are there plans for miniaturization?

There is plenty to be done. Maybe inexpensive fluid inerters.

For Mclaren, with our tolerances and aluminum pistons, same day. The oil is so expensive that rebuilding them every day wasn't reasonable for a top F1 team. OEM might be using steel pistons to help but its still metal on metal. It will degrade.

Now that's saying something. I wonder if they could encapsulate the particles in some sort of resin to reduce abrasion. Add more $$
