So day one of my track day went well. I ran 3 clicks all around. 1/10th toe in front and 0 rear. Front camber was -2.5 and I'm not sure where the rear ended up. My rear LCAs arrive in 1-2 months then I'll get tge car corner balanced.

I have those and do a lot of mountain "rally" style driving on road here in south France around my house. Many road from French Chamionship of rally just out from my gateway.

For that I will definitely not recommend those. Not enough travel plus when you cut curves put two will outside of the road you touch under the car because car is too low. I don't understand how you can use that car with 1" drop???
I think with 1" drop it's a track dedicate car but noway Tarmac rally style driving.
1" drop it's even get boring on every day drive as you have to slow down so much on speed bump road connection were as with Oem set up you can pass without slowing down.

I will go back to OEM set up in the next days because on the tarmac rally stage next to me I'm at least 2 second slower with those Flex Z than I was with OEM set up.

Sounds like the Flex A might suit you better.

ajc: You think so? I was under impression, that Flex A = Flex Z + hydraulic bump stop + rebuildability.

To be honest I dont know what the similarities are between the two. Best to ask Tein, but the HBS should help keep the car stable on really rought surfaces.

I was more thinking along the lines, that it's possible that travel / height adjustment range might be similar for A as for Z, so it's possible that A not being best alternative to suggest of, if Zs didn't do it.

You might be right. I'm not sure what is avaliable in that price range with more bump travel?

I know a chap in sweden that has the same problem with bump travel on rough surfaces.

On side note @Mars2

The front dampers do benefit from a bit more spring rate on rougher surfaces becuase they have a bit too much rebound.

Guys with bump travel issues, how is your preload set? If you want more bump travel vs. rebound, you can increase your preload to achieve that effect.

Hey all, just installed these yesterday. Have yet to get an alignment so I am assuming this is part of the problem.

Have the coils set to full stiffness, and before I installed I snugged up the preload, but these things still feel floaty as hell. Defs not as solid as I had hoped. Maybe my expectations were just too high.

Define "Floaty" because on full stiffness the car is far from floaty. Is it like riding a brick? No, not really, it's pretty stiff but not 3 wheeling over over a pebble stiff.

Keep in mind, "Stiff" does not mean good, it gives the illusion of "performance" and feels like the cars on rails, however generally far from the case. A lot of people are used to the "my car is stiff as fuck" feeling from cheap coil overs and misconceptions that stiff is better.

Okay that makes sense. This is my first set of coilovers on any car ever so maybe I was just used to the feeling of shitty coils in my friends cars.
I think for me it just seems like full stiff doesnt feel harsh. Maybe our roads are just decent here. Gonna play around with the settings tonight and see how less clicks from stiff feels.

You need a rally specific type setup that will *raise* your car quite a bit, if you plan on doing rally type driving.

Start from 8 clicks, and work your way up. Search out a bumpy road to use as your test loop.
