2016 Scion FR-S Backup Camera Guidelines
Just picked up the 2016 Scion FR-S but noticed the backup camera is pointed low without much of a field of view. There doesn't seem to be any guidelines either, and I can't find a way to turn them on.
The American Scion website seems to depict the camera with guidelines; am I missing something? |

Dont think you can change the angle that the camera provides, but there should be a setting for the guidelines in the head unit somewhere, probably check your owners manual.

Backup camera owner's manual.
Head unit owner's manual (page 132) Neither seems to mention guidelines. |

I don't know but the Scion head-unit but this works on the Subaru:

The real problem is that the camera is mounted too low and/or too deep into the trunk relative to the bumper for the image that it produces. Yet it looks like they've placed it at the same location as on most other recent Subarus I've seen. Quote:
Try that on yours. I'm sure people would love to see pictures of the various menus/screens.

Interestingly enough, the Scion IM has backup camera lines and their manual depicts it in the distance photo on the bottom left.
http://a230.g.akamai.net/7/230/83646...ner_Manual.pdf I'm not much of an audiophile so I couldn't tell you. I feel like the "feel" setting on the 2015 sounded better but I'm not sure at all. |

Did you try accessing the HU's service/diagnostics menus? (see end of my previous post)
