I put it in "6" because otherwise it mostly refuses to use 6th gear for some odd reason, but it automatically downshifts when you step on it. If you leave it in "4", what happens is it'll start in 2nd and shift normally, then when it hits 4th it sorta tries to stay in 4th, but I think I remember noticing it shift down to avoid revving like an S2000 on the highway.

Hmm... SMDH at Toyota Camry. I think its safe to say I'll never get a Camry or the desire to have one.

lol, I agree. I think that after driving that car, I really don't want to drive an automatic that doesn't give me nearly full control of the gears anymore. Don't f***ing downshift on me when I just want to gain 2mph, and don't hold a low gear just because I gave the throttle a jab several seconds ago... I also swear that the computer was trying to "learn" my behavior or something and changed the way it shifted down, which really really pissed me off. I'd have my foot sitting on the throttle at a certain position, and it would gladly hold 6th, and then a few minutes later it refuses to cooperate and wants to either give me zero power in 6th, or drive in 4th.

I just thought of something though, when my dad was driving he put it in "S" mode without realizing, so I think the reason they use the gear selection as a mere suggestion is so that they don't have people who put it in "S" mode and can't figure out why they're stuck going 30mph revving the shit out of the engine in 1st gear (which happened to my dad with another rental -_-).

The "S" stands for "Sort of Sporty."

My car will do the same if I just leave it in sport mode and not use the manual shifts. This is why its not the same and a M/T. So when I get the chance to try out the auto on the BRZ/FRS then hopefully it will be as good as others have said it to be.

Currently AC is on. Just I get dizzy if I stay in a room AC blasting. That's why I took off AC out of my Impreza

Well are we talking about smoldering hot heat that makes you want to find the nearest object with shade, a public fountain to drown yourself in, or crack open a fire hydrant cause you rather do things the hard, rather than pool hopping even if the owners are in it? Cause if my ass is sticking to the seat then I need some damn A/C... stat!

Or we talking about dry heat? Which I do find that is more tolerable, but may take a some time to get used to if you're not accustomed to it. I guess I can live without A/C then it if I had to though, but I rather not.
