This. Everyone hoped for a 23K, even 21K Scion, and when price was announced bunch of falks jumped the ship to get all the goodies for a little extra.

I'd say, either wait now, shop outside of your area or pay markups (I'm sure there are dealers near you who will sell at 1-3k above MSRP).

Sorry, man, you knew production will be limited at first. So, don't hate me for spelling it out for you.

I don't know of any local area dealerships with unsold BRZs. This suck! I ordered one back in March but would jump at the chance if there were any others available now.

This waiting in the dark crap with no updates is really pissing me off.
I'm in the same boat up here in DE! If I could find a limited manual available I'd jump on it and cancel my preorder today.

Come to New England. There's plenty of them and they aren't selling.

I could have picked one up yesterday at one dealership (with almost 1.000 dollars in mark-up for nitrogen filled tires and some sort of paint protection), and as of Saturday there was like 5 still available in the metro phoenix area.

I know of a total of 4 BRZs in Phoenix area, and one is being held strictly as a demo car at one dealership. The others were pre-orders.

I wish the subaru was not so exclusive, then I might already be driving mine.

It makes it different, sure, but not EXCLUSIVE. People love to hyperbole on the net.

This threads hyperbole rating is 9 out of 10.

The current colour pallete of my apartament has more exclusivity than a BRZ.

I can see it now, i pull up to a BRZ on the street and give them a friendly wave and get a snotty face in return, like "i paid a few grand more than you did for a car built at the same fucking plant, so i'm baller and yous a scrub homie"

dang.

I don't think the OP means exclusive in the way you're taking it. I think he means it more along the lines of the BRZ being the more limited quantity model of the two (see the edit of his last sentence above for my interpretation).

I see it like this: "Thanks FHI for giving the vast majority of the US allotment to Scion instead of your own f'n brand."

No one's hatin' on your FR-S

That's what I'm saying. Its killing me right now not to jump on one that is just waiting here for me to pick up.

I bet you were at riverview toyota. I got the same sell on that asphalt frs with the pre-tinted, nitrogen-filled, and waxed markups.

Yeah, I didn't preorder a BRZ, and bought one on 5/26.

Yes, I'm lucky. No, don't expect this to happen to you.

Same story around here...in Vegas I visited my local Scion dealer this weekend. They had 5 FR-S in various colors all available at MSRP with no crazy add ons or dealer markup. Still don't even have a VIN for my preordered BRZ. If one of those 5 had been white I'd probably be driving it.

sorry to hear that you got riped a new one with the $1000 mark up on BS nitrogen filled tires.... bc for what its worth, it will give you absolutly no advantage what so ever over air
