How long are these runs usually? I'd be interested in a Sunday run. Would you guys recommend putting on front plates to avoid any cops possibly issuing tickets? Kinda paranoid about that type of stuff haha.

The drive itself is not that long. It depends on which route we take and how long we talk at the peak.

Our last Saturday route was about 80 miles total. We met up at 7 and left around 7:15. We talked for like 1 hour at Mt Wilson. Reached down to the bottom around 10:30.

We are not really driving slow, so if we don't stop and just finish the route, it should take less than 90 minutes. But we always chill and test drive cars at Mt. Wilson, so it's usually a couple of hours.

A lot of us go to lunch together after too. I took my friends to KBBQ after once. LOL

As for the license plate, we rarely get hassled by a cop, but if you are paranoid about it, you should put it on. I always have my tow plate on since I hate being pull over for anything.

Jin usually posts a day before the run, and it's usually on the weekends, mostly Saturdays. Check this thread on Friday.

After our track day, we ran through AFH to LA. It was glorious.

Have you guys ever considered running with a different, more organized (both logistics and safety) track event organizer or running with 86CUP?

Some of my canyon run friends have done 86CUP events before. I did too. We will probably be back for some of the events next year.

We are planning to do some events with SV. Our next one should be at Buttonwillow on 10/17 with SV.

I feel a bit sad I missed out on the drive home, I just wasn't ready to leave the track. Had to squeeze out as much seat time as possible...
