But you got to dig the wheel gap cuz it's gonna look stock for a long while lol!

If I were to do this again I would go with the Showa silver body set just because the spring orientation on the rear will be like stock (my current spring orientation on the rear is like a Foxbody Mustang, I didn't bother trying to figure out if the rear shock perches can be spun around).

Wait so both Silver Showa & yellow Bilstein isn't height adjustable?

Interesting to know & please let me know when u gonna sell that yellow bilstein. lol I would love to buy it from you.

Exactly that actually, I've never seen one in person and I'm not sure which skirt I want to bite the bullet on lol. I've just never seen it look as good as it does on blue from a picture.

Yea STI isn't TRD, they just go for one road oriented setting that they deemed best as opposed to providing adjustability.

I'm actually pretty impressed that Toyota puts height adjustable KYB coilovers stock on the Lexus LFA but I digress.

KYBs? I guess they probably have really really good stuff in japan. With LFA everything is pretty much custom made anyway

Did your yellow sti x bilstein came down a bit in height? & anothing is that it sits lower in rear? Wouldn't that make the car turn in slower unless it's under braking???

It seems a little lower now maybe half a finger gap? At least the car doesn't look as lifted now but it is by no means looking lowered.

I just got the car re-aligned again 2 weeks ago and now it seems to be dialed in (3rd alignment since I got the suspension work done, 5th alignment since I got the car almost 2 years ago). The 2 alignments before basically wasted my time and money as those two shops couldn't dial in the car properly. I went back to the original Toyota master tech that did my first two alignments when I first got into STI parts and now it's perfect (he couldn't do it on the day I got my Bilsteins installed due to workload and I got impatient, went two other shops and no good.. taught me a lesson here).

STI uses coilovers in their racing cars.

Overall, would you stick with the bilsteins despite the gap or would you go for the showas? Personally I'm leaning toward the showas despite the marginal ride and performance differences.

Btw... Where your pictures at?! I'm sure we would all like to see how your car looks on the bilsteins!

Hard to say, I'm sure both sets are comparable in terms of performance.

Here's a quick and dirty picture of my car I took just now late at night; 25 secs exposure on a 12mm prime lens (24mm 135 equiv.) with my Olympus OM-D:

I tried to turn the parking lights on but the amber sidemarker gets really bright and won't show the front wheel gap well. My driveway is a little upward incline.

damn.... that wheel gap tho... It honestly makes those 18s look like 17s. You weren't kidding when you said it looked back to stock
