Yep!

I'm getting rid of my badges soon though, so perhaps the stripe won't look as good without the STI logo... We'll see!

An update on my pursuit of the tS badge, as it didn't pan out the way we expected it to. This will give you guys an idea of just how much STi tries to control the badge. I have a connection who is good friends with both Subaru's chief engineer for the BRZ as well as the chief product manager of the car as well. The product manager was one of the guests at a local Longo Toyota event, where he documented my car and the build and had shown it to the chief engineer. Both got denied a badge when they requested one from STi! As always, STi required proof that the badge would be for an owner and that it was needed (as a replacement, etc.). One thing we found out too is that STi apparently operates pretty much independently of Subaru (if you're into gaming, think of how Blizzard is pretty much left to their own devices even though they are part of Activision); they have their own independent reporting structure and essentially pursue the projects they want to pursue with little oversight from Subaru. If I needed any proof that SoA saying an STi version of the BRZ is coming to the US is pretty much BS without an official confirmation from STi, this is it. In any case, we're still trying a few other avenues, including going thru STi's chain of command haha

I just bought a $11 STi piece to fit over the heated seat switches on Amazon.
It was an impulse buy, but based on the looks of it and the price, it looked worth a shot.

They won't give it to you I think because your VIN is not part of their STI limited run. Just like how only the RA Racing trim VIN can order replacement parts for its suspension.

Maybe it's cuz of your TRD parts in the mix lol!

For me I just want the STI Performance badges, maybe I got to scan and email them all of my Japanparts receipts (but then I don't have the rest of the body kit; the STI Performance Package was just the full body kit, flexible tower bar and draw stiffeners, and the 17" wheels). Either that or I need to learn how to use Yahoo! Japan Auctions.

Okay so here's a weird finding today at the shop while on the alignment rack. I was going to revert back to the stock fat camber bolts (I was thinking about safety), and it turns out they will not fit thru the lower holes of the STI Bilstein front struts. Anyway so I'm stuck running more camber with the Toyota camber bolts on this setup lol!

buy here jp-carparts.com , no VIN is required....select parts for *2C.S that means "tS". Only tS rear trunk badge cannot be sold outside Japan.

Tire contact pressure is insane compare to stock shocks.

But you got to dig the wheel gap cuz it's gonna look stock for a long while lol!

If I were to do this again I would go with the Showa silver body set just because the spring orientation on the rear will be like stock (my current spring orientation on the rear is like a Foxbody Mustang, I didn't bother trying to figure out if the rear shock perches can be spun around).

I get my OEM parts from the local Subaru or Toyota dealer usually.

Interesting so the fat bolt goes to the top? I always thought bottom?

Anyway I like my new front camber setting now (-1.2 left and -1.1 right).

Yeah I was just gonna say, the showas seem like they allow for a better drop. I'm on TRD lowering springs now with around a 1" drop and I just can't dig the gap with the bilsteins. Good to know that they perform well tho!

For those curious about the STi oil filter. There is a 'slight' difference other than the pink...
