If it works for you that's fine. You might even want to get others to flash their cars with your untested changes, if you're honest with them and they're prepared to accept the risk that's also fine. But please don't attach mine or anyone else's name to your incomplete and untested files. An example of which is below. 0V wideband = 17.23. How are people supposed to log and fix their individual cars with what you're giving them? Did you even re-open your file and check your changes? I admit I've sometimes uploaded things I've not checked and double checked, but I didn't put someone else's name on my mistakes !!! People are free to make my changes to their own roms and post them here to be checked. They're free to post logs in the log thread and receive advice on how to modify their tunes. If i'm blunt it's because I don't take modifying tunes on others cars lightly and neither does shiv, that's why the OTS tunes have so much built-in safety. I'm extremely careful not to remove that safety. By using my name you're undoing that 8 months of changes that I've tested and confirmed with data that aren't just safe for my car but for anyone's. On the point of releasing other calibration codes. I've tried this before. As soon as you start releasing a range of calibrations, more people expect you to release the ever-increasing FULL range. So once again you're not helping. You seemed to have missed the point of the timing changes. Most of the timing changes in E85 correspond to the fuel changes. The rest are there to SMOOTH out the timing map. You've taken the added timing which is part of the smoothed map, without the corresponding negative timing. So on a lot of people's cars, they're going to get knock and even BIGGER holes and even less smooth map. This is a public forum, you're free to post whatever you want. Please don't attach people's names to files of questionable quality they would never approve of. |

you might also want to log FLKC That error in 02 sensor scaling could cause bad issues Total timing is base timing plus (knock correction max A timing multiplied by iam ) plus offsets for coolant temp iat ect just be aware when editing maps timing may have been adjisted in baseB table and\or knock correction max A tables. As a minium you want to test maps during normal street driving and on highway, then test on a hard mountain run or similar prolonged high load\tpm driving aggressive driving them probably test at a track day and test in hot and cold ambient conditions. by the way while aussie petrol is crap compared to usa 93, our pump E85 is very good ,a consistent mix arround 85% ethanol rated at 107 octane, we can buy this at pump , its probably better than anything you would get in usa at pump we also have the normal e85 that varies in e% called e-flex t ![]() Last edited by steve99; 09-07-2015 at 02:40 AM. |

I must thank you Wayno, I'm using your tune (together with some other Belgian people) and our cars run great with your work.
Thanks for creating these, Belgian fuel isn't that great (even the premium 98 isn't good). I copied your rom from the A01G to the A00G CalID and logged everything. It seems to be working nice although I think our 98Ron is a little bit better then the Aussi fuel. So when I have some free time I'm going to make my own little adjustments for my car and my fueltype. Belgium thanks you and Steve99 for your hard work and info. ![]() Link to logs (3 logs, Cold cruise, pushing the car and hot cruise)

On the track it's likely both would knock, the 91 will just knock more. Run whatever one gives you IAM = 1 under all conditions. |
