Help, engine sputtering problems

Hi, about 2 months ago, my friend installed a forged block from Crawford performance. For about a month, it was running fine but as soon as the weather here started to heat up a bit, his car started to run a lot hotter than normal. As well as that, his car starts to sputter if he tries to go above 3500 rpm; it sounds like the engine isn't being fed enough fuel and is dying out. He believes the problem may lie in in the high pressure fuel pump but isn't sure and obviously can't take it back to a toyota dealership for a diagnostic. Does anyone here know what may be the problem?? Oh and his frs is turbo'd as well. tune is ecutek. compression rate for motor is 10.5:1. thanks!

Well if any evidence comes forth that one word of that is true I will apologize with complete sincerity.
But if a guy with a "forged block" and $20k in parts can't figure things out then we can't help.

Hmmmm....... I figure, since he rides a bicycle and lives in Hogwart, he overheard his older brother or older friend, talking about why (an excuse) his FR-S lost that last drag race against a Mustang ...... and he is going to try to fit in by offering a suggestion ..... that he picks up on our forum ......

What's your take, there @soulreapersteve ..... ??

Made the wrong mod in a video game maybe?
That compression ratio is very valuable info though.

If I tried to help in a very technical topic, this is what would happen.

Well, I'm pretty disappointed that this thread just churned out nothing but trolling.

I would've expected seriousness coming from you Tcoat or Humfrz, I actually have another active account on these forums and I really respect your guy's comments and opinions on different topics over the years, but obviously these forums turned into any other CoD4 forums with 12 years old making useless comments and snarking on other people's capabilities. and I only made this account to protect my friend's identity because yes, although it may be sad that he couldn't diagnose it himself, he does feel embarrassed and wants help and this is why I turned to the forums for help. you two really let me down, a lot.

Anything Crawford runs a tad hotter than stock bro. Although, block...im not sure why that would make it run hotter. Run codes yet?

Maybe get your secret friend to post up some real info using this fake account. You aren't giving much info to base any diagnosis on.

Well, now, @carproblems, whoever you are, you kind of set yourself up by saying you drove/rode a bicycle and were from hogwarts.

I still don't understand what's with secret identity of this engine.

I apologize for not being helpful......

OK, how hot is the engine running .. ?? (temperature reading)

Are the cooling fans operational .. ??

Is the thermostat opening all the way..??

Is the engine running the correct coolant mixture .. ??

As far as the engine sputtering, maybe the HPFP needs to be replaced .. ??

The tune could be way off .. ??

What kind of turbocharger .. ?? How much boost when it cuts out .. ??

Come back ......
