An OEMAudio+ story
I ordered the OEM audio plus reference system back at the end of July. After a good two plus week wait, I received and installed the system. As an added bonus, Daniel threw in the carbon fiber rear seat speakers to make up for the long wait. Once installed it sounded amazing for a short time, but when I pushed the system it started cutting out and not working right. I could only listen at medium low volume or less once the cutting started. I talked to Sandy in tech support to rule out install errors. After trying and checking several things, It was determined there was probably an issue with the amp. I also cut out the two butt connectors in the wiring from the battery and soldered the power leads together to rule out any loss of voltage at the butt connectors. They very quickly sent me a new amp. Once installed, it didn't have the punch of the first unit. I had originally placed my online order for full bass, then via email changed it to robust with Daniel. The new amp worked well, but it ended up being full bass in accordance with my original order.- not robust as I had changed via the email. After talking to OEM again, they sent me yet another amp that was programmed robust. It too lacked the punch of the original unit. It sounded like the burden of bass was focused on the door speakers, and that the sub was just along for the ride. It worked, but did not sound as good as the original unit. I talked to them again, and with no questions asked they sent me another robust bass amp that Daniel himself verified programming. I now am running that new amp, and wow! Was it ever worth the wait! I am a bass player, and really listen for variations in bass lines. I like a wide range of music genres, and this covers them all exceptionally well. The sub now carries the load of the low frequencies, and the rest of the speakers pickup mid lows, mids, and highs. It is so well balanced now. It has incredible punch and low reproduction! If I want it to, it really thumps now. Yet, I can still hear all the frequencies- vocals and instruments alike. I could not be more satisfied. Great customer service! Thanks to OEMAudio+ for being patient with me, especially Daniel L. Home Run OEMAudio+! This sound was definitely worth the wait!
***Please read post number four of this thread for a statement made by me to correct any misunderstanding that my above review may have created regarding my satisfaction with OEMAudio+.*** Last edited by twag4; 09-07-2015 at 12:55 AM. Reason: Set the record straight |

It's rather disappointing that it took them 3 tries to get your replacement amp right.
I'm glad you got it working in the end. I've been considering their 400CL system with the robust setting. |

Atleast they replaced it for him. Sounds like an A+ vendor to me. Glad you got everything squared away OP. Maybe should post this in the reviews section

I wouldn't call it disappointing at all. Mistakes were made, but they were honest mistakes that were quickly remedied. This happens when more than one person is involved in carrying out the business of business. Also, the first replacement amp worked and sounded good, just tuned the sub amp to a lower gain level. The second worked too, but it still didn't compare to the first when the first worked right. The problem with the first one may have been a voltage problem that I corrected when I installed the second amp by soldering the wires coming from the battery rather than using the butt connectors. This may or may not have been the cause of the initial problems- I'll likely never know. They were super through the whole process, and quite frankly, I feel like they bent over backwards to get me a fantastic sounding factory looking car stereo. Im sorry to OEMAudio+ for this little write up sounding like anything other than high praise. Let me correct that right now: OEMAudio+ is a fantastic company! Their number one concern is customer satisfaction. Period! Daniel at OEMAudio is a stand-up guy and a class act! Have no reservations about doing business with them. I am confident that this is an isolated incident due to the attention and time they devoted to me. Buy with confidence! ***** 5 stars out of five! And any other great review type statements that I cannot think of, they earned them!
