I was looking at it linearly.

Just a suggestion but you could get some plastic and rivet it to the carpet mat. Then it can't come up but wouldn't be too ugly

The stamp is just bizarre in the first place when viewed from a manufacturing viewpoint. The value added just isn't apparent and the labour involved in making and updating ithat stamp adds cost. I know it isn't exactly a long process but when we can shave microseconds off a process it can save big bucks. Not to mention how many times each mat must be handled to have stamps weeks apart. That is just throwing cash out the window.
