Ugh, hate that too. Not just when canyon carving, but also just trying to get somewhere on a one lane road when people knowingly pass by turnouts while driving half the speed limit and creating a line of cars behind them... gets more entertaining when they get upset at you and/or try to keep you from passing when there is a legal opportunity.

I tailgate and honk obnoxiously. They are going to screw with my day, I will screw with theirs. Also pointing out the window feverishly at turnoffs.

if they are travelling the speed limit, i just follow and wait for a legal way to pass. i have been lucky that they use the turn-out to let me pass majority of the time.

if they are travelling excessively slow (worse than grandma), i will let the long line of normal cars behind do the honking.

be patient and wait for the road to open. or i turn to the next canyon road. the beauty of our area is that there are tons of them.

One thing I really miss about riding the 1000 street bike, you could pass instantaneously. Not really an option with the FRS.

I could do a palomar run sunday morning if someone wanted to do that. It is preferable to get there by about 8am. The tourists show up around 10.

Is that the same run you put up from Google maps earlier?

If people are driving slow I'll just cruise slowly behind them until a turnout; if they don't pull over I'll pull over and wait until the road clears up...

No need to be aggressive/angry out on public roads guys, I would rather not have that associated with my car and me when I'm out enjoying a nice drive in the canyons...

Yea I am flexible. I usually like to incorporate at least one south grade run and a few east grade runs on palomar mtn. Could also do banner and/or 79. Could stop for pie in Julian area.
