If it doesn't level out then take er in. Not a common issue but still pops up every once in a while.

This happens to my 2015 RS 1.0 still after 6000 miles. I've pulled the battery a few times, to try to get it to relearn. It doesn't happen often, maybe like once a month I notice it.

so I have a 13 10 series frs just had the motor replaced and im having this issue now (didn't have it with the old motor) RPMs will go between 550ish to 1000 and It threw a CEL for codes P015A P015B P119E and P219A talked to the dealership and they don't know what the issue is any help. Also I checked my AFRs and they go from 11 ( where it hits 550 RPMs) to 20.4 (1000 RPMs). Any help? Tuned with a custom ECU tune for intake manifold, intake, and full exhaust. (I did have to put back on my stock headers since the last ones cracked yay shitty welds)

I went back to the stock tune and it went away for a little while but that's like a few hours. Now it feels like it is jumpy going up through the rpms and is staying around 20.4 for the AFR as im on it. Also when in neutral going down the road it still fluctuates between 500 and 900 and it hit 489 rpms and almost stalled. Think it might be a legit issue at this point.

I've discovered that mine only does it when I'm in Park (automatic). As soon as I put it into Reverse or Drive, the fluctuation issue stops. Engine RPM doesn't fluctuate all the time, but it really likes to do it after I've been driving a while and put it into Park. A/C on or off makes no difference. I'm at 950 miles on the odometer now.

In for updates...
I just had the pulsing RPMs happen to me this morning while picking up prescriptions. I was like wtf is going on. I'm not sure where the BRZ stalls at but the 500-490 range seems like it was imminent. I drive a 2015 BRZ with the automatic just to clarify.

possible stuffed 02 sensor cracked damaged leaking at seal not in bung all the way ect or its been contaminated with grease\oil ect. might also be exhaust air leak did you use new gaskets ? ive seen those caused also when poeple mistakenly put o2 spacer on the front o2sensor instead of rear one or they plug the wrong sensors in , should be black plug to black socket grey to grey, also one exhaust shop did not even plug sensors back in :-) |
