It's worth what someone will pay for it.
Don't take my post serious, it was not meant to be.

My reading comprehension is fine, your joke meter needs recalibration and a certificate of inspection.

You said again, "you may get little more and potentially less", meaning it is worth less.
I know this was to make a point, my comment was having fun at that idea.

I think everyone on here knows , and was just having some jokes at the expense of your obvious statement

I think that my favorite part of this post is all the people who seemed to have come out of their mother's vaginas knowing how to car properly.

Dear guru's Teach me how you're mother fit a whole lifetime of "Car guy" in her snatch. Could you?

Wait a second?! You're saying to KEEP the stock parts? In case I need to go back to stock.

That's a way better idea! I was just hucking them off the overpass at oncoming schoolbuses.

But keeping them? Everyone can enjoy that.

Go for the supercharger - $20 can easily get a few sheets of sandpaper, 3' of 3/4" and 1-1/4" steel pipe, end cap, a nail, epoxy, and a box of 12 guage shells so you can go and steal a GT500 with your totally not at all illegal homemade shotgun. Or, if you prefer, the new C7 z06 - but that'll be more work since those guys probably never saw a zipgun and might not know that your trying to rob them.

I'm pretty sure that's only 3 felonies (though IANAL, so no promises) and for less than $20 you will have way over 500hp in your new car - plenty enough to run from the recently acquired train of flashing lights.

People on here are generally nice. It's just the really basic questions that gets flamed, which isn't cool imo. Novices could benefit from advice like these.

Honestly I feel like this is a wake up call for show build people selling their car for insane prices.

I have thought this many times. There are FAQ sections for most of the tech subs but they are not stickied nor appear in a search so unless you are prepared to spend a pile of time looking for them they are very tough to find.
Would love to do up a general FAQ but the problem is that we sometimes can't get two people to agree on the facts of any one subject.
Maybe I will gather a bunch of the "common" knowledge items and work with a Mod where we can sticky it and lock it so that every single armchair expert (half of which usually don't even own one of these cars) can't say it is wrong.
I used to be one of the "search noob" crowd but after trying to find a few things I knew were here and had already read I understood the pain of those looking. Still don't always answer a question outright but usually give a link to the section where the info is. Don't mind helping but don't feel I need to spoon feed as well. It is horribly frustrating though when somebody asks a question and the thread right below it is on the very same topic.

The sad part is the people that need the wake up call won't listen to it. If somebody does their proper due diligence and research prior to modding they should already know this. Those that don't either don't care or believe that they could lose a pile of money.

As mind boggling as it may seem for every post I have made I have probably read 100+ and I have read full threads right back to the beginning of this forum. I don't think anything is any worse now then it was right from the start. There are just a pile more people now so you get a greater mix and with that comes an increased risk of douchbaggery.

A well worded question/statement in the right section of the forum will get totally different results then some random string of words in the totally wrong place.

Asking "Yo what is the sickest hood I can buy for this car for $50" in the General section will get your ass flamed off. Asking "I want a vented hood to let some heat out for my occasionally tracked car and have looked into the XXXX and YYYY ones. Do you guys have any experience with either of these?" in the Body Mod tech thread will get you some serious and helpful responses. Overall the tech threads remain unmolested for the very fact that if somebody took the time to read and post their question in the proper place it also means they probably have done some other research and are not just expecting people to do all the leg work for them.

Add to this the fact that some first time posters are either pure troll (I was thinking of buying one of these and what RB kit will fit because I love my Mustang and these cars are just so slow that I might as well turbo it and slam it because you guys all suck because Miata") or seem to be looking for moral support (" Is this totaled?" "My engine blew up and I did everything perfect") and they get some nasty responses. Unfortunately the phrasing of some of the more, ummmm...vague questions will make a new guy appear to be one of these. There are untold hundreds of these one off posters that come make some broad sweeping statement or question and then are never seen again even if they were not flamed. If people actually read things first and then posted they should have a good idea on how their question/statement will be received. How they respond to the replies also can play a big part in what happens. The number of times a new guys will ask a question or for an opinion and then argue every single response or get bent out of shape because people don't support their obviously preconceived notions is amazing.

TLDR
It is the internet dudes.
