![]() I don't know what does it work in the states or other countries, but I guess they should be similar. 1.every car need to buy an obligatory insurance, which should pay to the transport administration, this is around 150 USD each/year, but it covers only minor lost to passenger and also to vehicles. 2.then we should buy a commercial insurance, which are by the big chinese company and also global company as AXA or SAMSUNG etc.. So for the BRZ 1st year I pay around 1400 USD/year, it covers almost everything for ex: if the car accidentally killed an individual, it covers up to 180,000 USD , it can also use to fix the luxury car involved by an accident committed by the insurance buyer. 3.the punishment of using the insurance, yes it will raise the price, but I still don't know exactly how it works and how much discount I get even I do not use the insurance for years. for example for my old focus , for 4 years zero accident declared, but I still pay around 700 usd/year. |

my FRS got bumped into and the damage was $2000 or so... for a little bit of a dent. The body shop had to fix and paint the quarter, sort out the trunk gap, and even replace one of the tail lights. accidents suck...

My insurance has luckily not gone up. But they haven't been happy with me. 3 hit and runs in 2 years. The other 2 accidents requiring body work were paid for by other companies. None of it was my fault which was the big important factor.
They sent me a letter explaining a pattern they found in my recent claims though...the car was always "parked and unoccupied". They said they brought it to my attention to help mitigate future issues. Not sure how I can avoid parking and leaving my vehicle... Accident 3: Roommate dropped his motorcycle on my door. Woke up to him sitting in the dark in shame downstairs. Only response I could muster was "You realize you're making lunch now." ![]() Accident 4: Note it looks just like the second accident I posted earlier...This happened not 20 ft from where that accident happened. ![]() Accident 5: An SUV dragged over my front left quarter panel just above the side signal like @xtral. But luckily I was able to buff it out since there was no actual paint or body damage. I have an anxiety disorder and my car is an outlet for that. I love working on her for days on end when I can. But all this crap has honestly caused nightmares. I'm working with the ADA department at my office to get a safer place to park her. I'll put that bitch on a pedestal. Jeezus man that is some bad luck. My experience has already took a toll on me. I do not know what would happen to me if all those things happened to my FRS. Mad props to you for being a strong willed individual.

$180k? Wow. My insurance covers me for 2 million GBP, about 3.5 million US for any liability including accidental death.

My policy covers me for over 150,000 GBP just for legal costs! I'm insured with Toyota.

Best take what's left of that control arm and go fuck up the other car! That really sucks.

The first 3 accidents were all the day after I washed the car. So I didn't wash her for a bit. Then she got hit again. Figured if she's going to get f*****d she may as well look pretty for it
