It is not, but I wouldn't be surprised if the initial prototypes were 3rd printed with a rapid prototype machine (industrial 3d printer that existed before the affordable 3d printers of today).

Rapid prototyping machines have been around for a while, but yes, 3d printing is a godsend for smaller operations!

Its not just the ability to do 3D printing but the newer affordability/availability of these machines and the types of materials that can be used. I'm in a heavy industrial manufacturing business and its really taken off the last several years. An example is a the complexity of what used to need to be casted can now be machine printed with exotic materials very quickly

The one example that really stands out to me are the 3d printed turbos that Koenigsegg uses.

My MPG has taken a massive dive now being in traffic with the sc. I feel like it's angry at me that I'm not using its full potential. I have not gone WOT on it yet but when I do, I'll be sure to give you guys my feedback.
i thought these tvs blowers had some kind of blow by system so that it wouldn't affect mpg too adversely given low rpms and a light foot?

Wait until some of the fancier stuff bleeds over into consumer grade, titanium parts that look like cobwebs with the strength of a machined titanium piece at 60% of the weight and minimal material waste reducing costs.

This is supposed to be an engine block?

That blows my mind. The fact that they can somehow have a "hopefully" tolerance parts internal of a different metal. WOW. And threads that are actually strong enough to hold something without impurities in the printing process. WOW again.

No clue honestly. Need some input from the more experienced folks on here if this is true or not cause it does not seem that way from my experience so far. Before the SC install I would average 29-30 MPG on 90% stop and go street commute for my morning drive (~26 miles to work) and coming back 50% freeway traffic and 50% street going back home and I'd still get 29-30 MPG keeping my RPM between 2-4K. I haven't emptied my tank yet since I got the sc this past week but im around 21 MPG with about a quarter left in the tank and my driving habit has not changed.

Pretty sure they do have a blow by system which limits boost under 2-3k which seems to me to defeat the purpose of a supercharger making torque right from the dig unless it reads throttle percentage not sure.

You know I do notice that when I am right at 3K the boost feels like it is being held back as I keep my foot very lightly on the gas. When I am at a complete stop and then press the gas, I sometimes press too hard just ever so slightly and go beyond 3K and that's when the boost takes over.

Two noob tuning questions if anyone would be so kind as to offer their thoughts:

1. Resale, say you install the edelbrock kit and want to sell it seperately from the car down the line. Would everything pass to the new customer or is some sort of new license required like I have heard about Jackson Racing? (affects resale value)

2. If you installed the supercharger and the carb tune with the ECUtek module, and then uninstalled, reflashing the ecu to stock, would the warranty tech at the dealer be able to track that and deny a claim?

Thanks!

I think he meant when he brings the car into a dealership for service, he wants to remove the supercharger and tune so it'll be stock?
