All that chart tells me is that it doesn't get super hot in one pull; I don't think any kit does. It says nothing about extended use. |

![]() E85 and supporting mods adds about 100hp on top of the CARB tuned car that already makes 260-270whp (365whp vs 260 whp).. that's roughly 37-38% more than what the CARB tuned car does.. sooo.. It would be a shame if it couldn't walk away from a 250 AWHP stock STI

I'm talking about not on paper though... Same thing with an A4 and a GTI.... Jaden And as far as carb, there is no one that could EVER write me up for ANYTHING with my car tuned the way it is right now. It looks bone stock except for the cat back, which I've already had certified as carb compliant. |

What?
What part was hard to understand for you?
a) That comparing raw dyno'd hp between cars that are 7-800 lbs different isn't good for anything? b) That dyno'd hp doesn't always equate to real world performance? or that you thinking that a 270whp car that weighs 700lbs less than a 268 bhp car shouldn't be able to walk it because DYNO, is utterly laughable???? ![]() if that's the case I can clearly say there's no way you can keep up with a stock WRX from roll the weight difference alone (about 500 lbs not 700lbs, 2700lbs vs 3200lbs) is not enough to make up for the difference, by the time you reach that 230 bhp WRX will already be way ahead of you because of the huge TQ advantage

![]() there is no part on any of your posts hard to understand for me but it looks like there are multiple posts about the topic was hard to follow for you or you just didn't bother reading them up.. you should ask yourself this question : "Am I really trying to learn something new today or Am I simply trying to win a debate?" if the answer is the first part, please do read all the posts and come back and ask your questions again if you bring something new to the table that we don't know of I am happy to read and change my views accordingly, until then please keep the things I mentioned above

What about the real world did you not understand???
Quote:
This is not fanciful daydreaming while glancing at dyno charts... This is actually running against them in the REAL WORLD... Jaden and 2758-2806lbs versus 3267-3450 so you're looking at as little as 461lbs or as much as 692 lbs difference. for an average difference of 577 and yes it is enough to make up a 35hp difference...obviously because it WAS enough, again, in the real world. Also, it's pretty obvious that it's not ME who needs to be learning something.. I wasn't the one who said that a 270 WHEEL hp car weighing between 500 and 700 lbs less than a car that makes 234 Wheel hp couldn't walk said car. The STI only makes about 255 WHP and wouldn't stand a chance either. Last edited by Jaden; 08-24-2015 at 06:01 PM. |

let's forget about the REAL WORLD conditions (healthier hp due to OEM power, less heat, better matched gear) for a second and concentrate on the" dyno queens " for a second do you actually believe that 500 lbs is enough to make up for the TQ difference down low.. I did my best to include an NA E85 dyno plot with green line in the below dyno comparison ... notice that huge TQ difference in blue and green lines and you'll understand why .. if you still think that it should keep up with an WRX slowly drop the crack pipe you were referring to ![]()

Were you NOT the one who said from a ROLL???? I can quote you if you'd like? That low down torque ain't gonna mean shit from a roll where you can down shift to be in whatever rpm range you want. Jaden |

no matter what you do, you won't be able to make up that TQ difference even if you downshift ( I don't know what that means from a roll-race) because the higher you start in the power band sooner you should shift to the next gear ..and as soon as you shift up to next gear a WRX will start pulling away from you so hard and say buh-bye..

dude....
Really, and you know the owners of both cars and know what has been done to the EVO? Not to mention, this is not from a roll. This is standing quarter mile. The EVO is AWD and has a much quicker 60ft as you can tell by the twin with a higher trap speed in the second race. There's really no reason to even continue debating as you don't have a clue what the hell you are talking about. Jaden |

tell that to the WRX driver...
Quote:
Also, just like CSG Mike said, you are incapable of not jumping around aren't you? We were talking about a stock WRX versus a JRSC twin, and you post a video of an EVO (that could be a stage III) versus a Turbo twin that for all you know was running 5lbs of boost... Jaden You attempting to debate me is like a one legged man attempting to run the 50yd dash against usain bolt. |
