@LavosTRD What the cost of teardown and inspection of the clutch assembly? Or the amount work hours involved?

Toyota is sending someone to me dealership to inspect it today. The dealer service adviser was telling me some stuff that sounded kinda iffy until I showed her your comments about the throw out bearing and some of the receipts people posted after they got theirs warrantied.

If I had to guess it would be somewhere between 6.0 and 10.0 depending on your dealership. Personally I would fight tear down. There is plenty of room on the side of the trans where the airflow flap/vent is to stick a boroscope in to look at the throw out bearing to see it

I would be looking for signs that the roller bearing grease has liquified and leaked out (would look grimey/oil covered in clutch dust). I would look to see if the throw out bearing/pressure plate fingers were rusting/wearing abnormally.

Hope it helps
Good luck

Thanks. I'm gonna need it, because it's already been torn down to be inspected by the Toyota corporate rep.
