My biggest worry is that I'll get a random understeer or off-camber turn, because I don't know the road by memory, and I'll wander into the other lane. And, I'm going fast enough that if I do get an unexpected loss of traction, there may not be overhead for recovery depending on the road conditions.

I'm completely anti-double laning.

Exactly!! I would find myself braking later and hitting the corners much faster than him in the STI. Now on the long straight roads I found myself flooring it trying to keep up with him at half gas.

Exactly. I usually don't drive on that Palmdale side of ACH, so I'm not familiar with it. The only time I would go there is when we go to SOW.

I just hate people who double lane in the canyon.

Last Saturday, I drove through ACH to get back to LA. This super loud second generation VW R32 passed me aggressively in that straightaway section in the beginning. I chased him down for 15 minutes going up the mountain, I was right on his back bumper for the whole time. He was double laning like there was no tomorrow, I was always in my lane. He couldn't shake me off. I could tell he was getting frustrated and pressured as the chase went on. I had a friend in my car. I just didn't have enough juice to pass him "safely", so I let him go.

It's just dumb how people would mindlessly double lane in the canyon. Just not a smart move to make.

I wasn't too smart to chase him down on that road too though, since I wasn't familiar with the road.

Well, I ditched my 5th session at SOW, I had to do something to make it up. hahaha

It's okay, the long straight roads are just there for you to take a break from the corners. Just act like you are taking it slow on purpose!

Feels amazing in the corners even with stock suspension. The STI had trouble keeping up with us. Grips when you want it to, slides out a bit when you want that as well. Overall had a great time with friends.
Was up there Saturday night for the first time in my frs with a couple friends. Had a blast, my car is stock I thought I might have a little trouble keeping up with my friends sc frs and another friends s2k because they both have mods, no problems at all. Put a big smile on my face. Love my car haha. Glad you also had a blast man.

I don't understand why you're so angry when I'm trying to help you. This is a canyon thread, and you posted about your clutch, and you get mad when I ask what's going on?

Nobody asked for your "help." Not me at least. You're going to troll and insult people online because you don't think there is any repercussion. If you don't want any trouble, don't start it, Mister "wise man." Now go troll somewhere else. :drops mic:

I don't understand why you're so insulted. You had a problem that wasn't addressed or readily addressed by the average person, and caused you to miss an event. If it was a minor problem, I could have possibly helped you get on your way. These questions are no different from what I ask of anyone else with a similar issue.

Clearly, these posts are trolls.

I only mentioned my clutch to let these guys know why I will not be attending the track day. And the clutch engagement assembly is indeed loose. I did not ask for your "help" or opinion (aka antagonizing comments). I'm not mad, but extremely annoyed by you.

Seriously man... just get off my fucking nuts dude. And we'll just leave it at that.

Please stop. Just PM each other if anything.

Can we just keep this for a canyon run?
