i can't wait til i figure out this damn heavy beast of a car.
yah, still tho... not very happy with my time today... Completely blew the last run. Kurt the instructor said i was too aggressive... good aggressive but need to take control of it and use it to my advantage, because i am over correcting on a lot. I'll try to make to the September Bremerton event and the last SCCA event in October.

look ahead, it helps a lot. by the time you get to the cone or gate that the car is "at" it's already too late. don't focus on what's coming at you right now, that's just stuff you can't fix. set yourself up for things waaay out there, and the cones will just fly by
..

that being said..

don't miss the first gate lol. smdh

Yeah I didn't see it, but it guess it is a good thing he was running a front plate. That piece of metal probably took all the damage.

I can only see how this discussion would go down on a bmw forum considering I use to own an m3. Probably will want insurance to pay for a new plate and full front end tear down, possibly replacing the under bumper foam. Since reporting it would hurt his resale value he might ask for a check for diminished value.

Yup they can be that crazy.

I had a blast yesterday with everyone, thanks for putting this together! I'll definitely be coming out to the next meets, and probably the autox in October.

Any more pics or video? I'll try and post some tonight.

Thank you everyone that made it out yesterday! Sorry it was a little hectic this was the first time we've done something like this. Hopefully we can make this an annual thing. You guys all drove really well and everyone improved quite a bit. I know speaking with all of the instructors they were happy to have you there.

I'm not sure what happened with the BMW guy but if he did skip his work assignment that's not good. The important thing, though, is that you all had a good time.

Official results are posted here: http://new.scorekeeper.wwscc.org/res...ist=4&course=1

If you come out to the next event in October please register for Novice (AM or PM) or Time Only as the provisional class was only meant to be a one time thing. Due to how our database is constructed it will be there the whole year but there are no season awards for it.

We'll have some pictures up on the NWR Facebook page in a little bit and I'll have someone re-post them to the 86 Sessions page as well.

Thanks again everyone and hope to see you all again at future autocrosses!

Thank you for organizing this event! it's great to see so many 86s being used what they're made for! =D
Hope y'all stay interested in it, autocross is for sure going to improve the most important aspect of the car: the nut behind the wheel. Get more seat time and get familiar with the capabilities of yourself and your machine, never know when you'll need it.
