Cosworth Stage 2.3 tune installed. Headers checked for leaks. Everything seems to be running smooth. I'll say, once I get to around 6k RPMs this engine sings.

So I'm saving up for some body trim. Decided to add a little styling to the car. But, I can't seem to decide between the 5:AD/Five Axis, or the Nur Spec kits.

I'd say the TRD but I really don't like the rear bumper nor do I like that stupid license plate bracket. Though I could just cut it off...

it's all basically the same kit. I was saying to look at that one. Last I heard the five axis kit was having fit and finish issues, but that was over a year ago. Any way love the build, keep it up!

There are a few subtle differences between the Nur Spec and TRD. I just feel the Nur Spec is more OEM looking? Not sure. Though I do like the RS TRD kit. It looks pretty good. But again, that bumper looks god awful. haha

Yes it is! Having the TRD kit would stay in line with my TRD goodies, but I have a few of those I'm going to get before the body kits. Speaking of which, I'm going to order a little TRD something now!

So I have an interesting dilemma. I had been pushing myself a little hard at the gym for a while in preparation for another obstacle run, but in doing so, I have fallen victim to an overuse injury. *warning science, bro* So I may have a micro tear or have over worked one of my triceps muscles; the long head triceps muscle which runs along the inside of your arm and attaches to your scapula. Triceps refers to the three muscles which make it. The Lateral head, medial head, and long head. Well the long head muscle is used for exercises like push ups, lat pull downs and skullcrushers to list a few. Other affected muscles seem to be the posterior deltoid, and minor pain in the lateral deltoid. These assist with frontal and lateral movements of the arm.

Guess what else these muscles are used for? They're used when shifting a manual car. The long head tricep is used for both the push and pull motions during driving. Even though I'm giving it time to rest, I'm still using it to shift when driving around town, therefore aggravating it. Top it off, I have the TRD quick shifter which requires a little more effort to go into gear. I also have the TRD knob which is super light, therefore making it even harder!!

Solution to this problem? Weighted shift knob. And Therapy.

Guess the Flossy is going back on.

To add, if anyone else has any sort of shoulder injuries, please contribute!

Update: in case anyone actually reads through this, there have been some updates. 1) shoulder is roughly 90% fine after nearly a year (27Mar16). 2) the injuries which I suspected were not the actual issues. In fact it was the supraspinatus (one of the 4 rotator cuff muscles) that was the issue. Though I do suspect an issue with my Teres Minor may have also been an issue. Though there was not a clean tear, inflammation, continual pain, and reduced range of motion indicate either a partial tear or impingement. An MRI would be necessary to be exact, and I cannot afford that and won't pester the VA about it either.

Rehabilitation involved: internal & external rotations with a resistance band, partial lateral raises (to target the supraspinatus), frontal raises, and a modified type of deltoid fly. Also resting, icing, and anti-inflammatory medications assisted in recovery.

Sorry to hear about your shifting arm! Hope it heals up soon. Say, if you are still on the fence about a suspension mod. Highly recommend the TRD springs and sway bars. I picked up a slightly used stock suspension off a low mileage BRZ real cheap and put it all together last week and installed. Wow! Much improved feel. Rides and handles lots better. Slightly rougher on bumps / pot holes but, worth it. Lowered the body about 5/8" inch. Can't wait to try it out on the Sisters Run after I get the brake lines done! I am lovin' it!

I was seriously considering the TRD sway bars and springs. Just gotta save up. I'd like to know how they feel on the Sisters!
