For what the 2.0T swap will cost, you could easily just put a turbo kit on the stock engine and just as much (or more) power.

Hate to be "that guy" but do the same mods to the Genesis motor and it'll win.

Not a bad motor, but if you're going to spend all that damn money doing an engine swap and making everything work, you're generally not going to go with such a minor performance increase...

Well yeah of course; but I was not making that argument

Why not a set of quick connects on the WRX engine? You could just swap it back and forth between cars depending on your mood or how many doors you want that day.

The 2.0T in the Genesis is related to the 2L in the newer Evo line, but they're not identical and definitely not as strong.

I guess they did say "basically". Really, really basically though.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyunda...2.0T_GDI_turbo

It's more in common with the Ralliart Lancer engine than the Evo engine, but they are from the same basic family.

Video above is just an idiot wrecking his car if go to original video he states the driver had on not recommended parts or tune with his second day on the clutch lol. But outside that I own 2 Genesis ones my project one I traded for a t86. People knock the Genesis yet it does have its perks and not to mention looks great, in my 2.0T no T86 wins the import events they just think omg made by Toyota we are all going to die lol. My first project hit 120k on the turbo had regular changes and was a daily throughout project even my wife drove it harder than me sometimes don't let others assume just because it's not a t86 its trash. I will admit the Genesis engine swap not worth it, unless also changing out the turbo built into it but the cost is about as much as I paid for my T86 only issue lol. I'd look to sticking to something with a better platform if staying. Anyone who hates Genesis just haters because truth is I love my t86 over Genesis but at end of day Genesis is a beautiful car, I just think they need to also drop weight the turbo and the price by 7K after that to compete
