XXR Wheels

I was cruising the net this morning, looking for some cool wheels for my Asphalt FR-S. I found XXR Wheels, which have a nice concave wheel called the 530 Intense. It comes in 17x8.25, not sure of the offset, and in flat black, chrome black and gold.

I called the manufacturer to locate a nearby dealer. Then I called that dealer... and after four different phone calls to locations and their warehouse it turned out that they were an XXR dealer, but didn't really sell or stock any wheels.

Called XXR again and the guy who answered told me that the wheel I was interested in was sold out. Then, when I told him WHICH wheel I was interested in he told me that pretty much everything they carried was back-ordered. Sheesh. Seems like a pretty cruddy operation over there.

So here is the pretty picture, not sure if these wheels actually even exist!

The stance is XXR 530 18x8.75 with +35 offset all around I think, but I have to double check. I am running Hankook tires with staggered fitment, have the specification later. Also I was going to run my new Perrin FRS/BRZ front liscense plate holder, but I was afraid someone might steal it. I will put it on for the show, right now as you can see it just staging.

I gotta say that on the XXR sire I liked the chrome black look, but in actual photos I don't really love it. I'm kinda thinking that I might do gold wheels on my Asphalt FR-S. Hmmm....

I was looking into these. Considering the low price and double-drilling I think these will be heavy.

I plan on getting two sets of wheels for the car, one cheap 17" set just for daily driving... and the cheap set doesn't need to be too exotic. These probably are relatively heavy, but I won't really notice once the turbo kit it on.

I have a set of their 527 in flat black in 18x9.75 but the offset is +20 so I dont think its going to work on this car lol. The same wheel is available also in 8.75 +35 which should be perfect fitment. These things only weigh around 20 pounds too. I will test fit the 9.75 +20 when I get my car and post up some pics.

IMO the 530 is more suited to European cars.

Yeah, was thinking about copping a set. Price is not bad for some rims that I'd use just to style on people when driving daily.

the 530 18x8.75 is 22~lbs and 18x9.75 is 23~lbs and they're 640-660 shipped for a set. A little heavy but so cheap!
