September 20th...

It'll be sharing track time with the Ontario 1500 (ontario1500.ca), so anyone attending gets to see a time attack event in action. It won't change the amount of track time lapping participants get, just a bonus to watch!

Im doing the lapping event tomorrow, I havent bothered with lap times in the passed and would like to get into that party, there has been some reference to Harry's Lap timer, is that would you recommend for a phone based lap timer?

Can't come soon enough. But based on their schedule, SPDA lapping times will be significantly reduced?

Yup, HLT is solid. Just remeber that most phones have 1hz frequency so it's really only accurate to the second (if that). If you want to step it up, you can get external bluetooth GPS that pairs with HLT at 5hz/10hz.

Note the lapping sessions are 30 minutes, not 15 minutes, and there are 6 of them.

I'm not entirely sure how the run group breakdown will work, but even if the 30 minutes is split into two 15 minute run groups it's still a lot of track time.

I forgot to ask you about this yesterday. Do you have any information about how this day will go? Amount of track time? How the groups will be divided? How many cars per group? Etc?

I don't yet... I've been swamped with work and getting prepped for Shannonville next weekend, but I'll try to get details soon!

In only 30 spots folks.. this one should be a good one with lots to see, and the SPDA has the funnest safest lap days you will come across.

If you have never tried lapping but always wanted to, these guys can show you how its done safely and without blowing up your car

And as always for a great price.

@wparsons @BryceRocket

I understand there are 30 spots, but what's the spread vs. experience level? I'm trying to drag out my STi friend to DDT but hopefully there will still be space in the newbie group before he makes up his mind.
