I just signed up for intermediate :) we need more events at DDT :)

I hope to be there again, I've attended the last 3 track days that the SPDA has put on at the DDT. My first I was a complete noob. If you've always wanted to see what driving on the track is like, this is the cheapest, safest, best way to do it.

Here's some footage of the track: (oops likely won't be this layout.. the kink will be in place down the back straight)

Is there any extra charge for bringing a passenger along?

Skurj 06-14-2015 03:18 PM

nope, they just need to sign the waiver.

n0thing 06-14-2015 04:19 PM

Is there helmet rental available?

sergiomordo 06-14-2015 04:24 PM

They had loaners available first event. Lots of extras. This time i bought a helmet so more chance u can find a loaner :)

I believe one of the sponsors usually provides a few helmets. If you have any friends that ride bikes.. they may have Snell 05+ helmets they might lend.. At the track on a hot day in july.. the loaners may get a bit ripe.. just sayin...

Signed up again :)

See you all again

Signed up and submitted payment for Beginner.

Last question, only paid participants may run the Alligator Lapping or even friends/families too?

Anyone can come for the ride I think for the alligator lapping, they may have to sign a waiver not sure..

Anyone can come ride along for alligator lapping, and the usual rules (helmets and age limits) don't apply due to the slower pace.

Anyone going in the hot pit lane (not parking lot) or out on track needs to sign the waiver, but it's free!

There is about half a dozen loaner helmets, but we try to keep those available for the beginner run group. If we find that there's extras (or they're returned before the beginner run group) then there's more flexibility. As mentioned they might get pretty sweaty, especially in july.

Woot, registering ASAP.

Edit: still haven't received membership # yet...just punched in zero for now

wparsons 06-14-2015 08:28 PM

You weren't kidding about ASAP :D

Don't worry about the member # at this point, I saw the payment come through for that earlier.
