Oh I already know that. I just wanted to get some validation from a bunch of strangers first. I'm not really trading in my car.

Buy a new one and be happy with it, no matter what the forums dealership says.
It's a great car for an awesome price for a 2015 model right now.

I've decided on the BRZ for the weight and for the modification possibilities. But heres my dilemma: Buy a BRZ now or wait until the next gen? If I buy it now, I'm going to get a used BRZ and put the money i saved into a supercharger and some aero, but if I wait for the next gen, my budget will probably limit me from buying many mods. But then again, the next version will probably be faster and need less mods. Theres no real chance of me selling the car and buying the next gen once it comes out since i would lose so much money on the mods I'm putting into it. AHHH. What should i do guys?
If you're already thinking the current car is going to be too slow for your budget, then chances are you're buying the wrong car. No matter the gen.

With that being said. You can make the current car relatively "quick" with about $1000 (OFT, UEL, e85). To make it "fast" will cost anywhere from $4-$10k or years of driving school. You choose.

Just remember Moore's Law. It applies to future generations of this car too.

i don't think this last assumption is shared by anyone. otherwise the aftermarket would have that intake generating 5hp

also, for the OP, if you want a dedicated track car, get an older miata. lots of cheap parts and they're easy to work on. if you want something faster, looking into an older m3.

The car, as-is, is a great track toy.

BUY USED.

Drive on track.

SELL USED.

Repeat.

If you have good credit, I would say lease the car for 3 years because the lease rate is only 2% and the residual is like 49% for 2015 Limited. That means you'll have the option to buy your car for $14000 if the MSRP is 28000 after the lease.

Think of it this way, If you can lease the car at a selling price of $26000 (-2000 off MSRP) you can have the car for $380/month incl. tax. with like 800 down and that would include the first month's payment.

You can do all the irreversable mods it won't void the warranty nor will you get in trouble. The agreement is to return it unmodified anyways. Take it to the track too.

The beauty of leasing a 2nd car is that when a new car comes out you can terminate the lease early (still paying the remaining balance), or finish the term and get the new car you've been waiting for. You also have less commitment to paying back a huge loan.

Those two are the most important questions that face humanity today.
I found the other day that French fries are not French. They are from Belgium. "French" come from an old word that means cut in small pieces. (Don't remember if it's a word from UK/USA or Belgium)
