if you prefer me to move to the provisional class, i can do that. to make it a fuller crowd. it'll be my 3rd autocross in the BRZ.

Confused about classes: Are 86s competing against each other's raw times? Or will cars be classed by SCCA rules and then have indexed times? Thanks

Raw times.

Think of it like an exclusive novice class. There's no way for me to make it perfectly fair for everyone of all experience levels without over complicating the process. There will be trophies for the top 33% finishers (standard rules are 1 trophy for every 3 drivers rounded up to nearest 3 so 4 drivers = 2 trophies) and I'm trying to come up with something interesting for everyone that participates but I'm not sure if I'll have the budget for it. If you compare STX and CS times they're often not too far apart for the best drivers (.500 to 1.000 seconds). As long as none of you are going out there on Hoosiers with 10 years of experience it will be fine.

That being said if you do have several years of high level auto-x experience or a car that is severely over-prepped it's up to you if you'd like to be polite and race in time-only.


@gtslow and @Goodvibes I have you guys on the list but not pre-registered. If you're still planning to come to this don't forget to pre-register! No point paying an extra $5. There's no charge when you pre-register as it's just to help the event organizers plan. There's also no punishment for not showing up so even if you're on the fence it's about attending it's a smart thing to do.

Thanks for the info! My car is pretty well prepped for CS and I just raced it in Packwood with the Oregon region this weekend. I'd say it's a fairly competitive car where it currently stands, but not overly so.
