I recommend using some rubbing compound to get rid of scratches, I had a few tiny ones and it fixed it for me.

For light imperfection of the nature of debadgeing, etc Meguire's Ultimate compound has been good for me. I've helped a lot of people at work take off some really huge stupid badges on their late model trucks. Quik detailer, and then one quick go of ultimate compound has taken care of everything. It's a really gentle polish. I use it on the whole car about once a year after clay baring with a very light cut pad and its great, especial for beginners. It won't f*** your paint but it takes off the crap, especially on new/well maintained finishes

After I debadged, I got a license plate frame that said brz on it. That way I could take the brz badge but still have the name on the car. (Sounds silly when I type the explanation)

I saw one guy that put the old school Impreza S U B A R U letting across the back. It looked surprisingly good.

Debadging godliness
1.) What technique did you use to remove the main emblem on the front bumer?
2.) Were there an holes left over? what did you do to cover the hole/s? did the main emblem removal require any body shop work? Last edited by TheWhiteWizard13; 05-11-2017 at 02:18 PM. |
