We can discuss shoes as well. I have the Sparco Esse - so far so good. I think they look cooler than the Puma Speed cats and have about the same feel possibly a little bit less compared to speed cat |

Don't laugh, but my bro-in-law bought me these gloves:
http://www.bionicgloves.com/p-19-men...x#.VaaKRflVhBc They look a little out of place compared with the typical Alpinestar and Simpson gloves most people use, but are actually very comfortable and offer a nice sticky grip on the wheel. I've thought about replacing them, but can't find a reason to.

Did someone say gloving? Just kidding. I haven't tried all the gloves out. Alpine Stars, Sparco, etc. all making some good gloves.

The ones that fit best and are affordable enough that you can still go to that track day you wanted to go to. I run the top of the line GFORCE gloves, and I have no issues with them:

Gloves are:
1) great for comfort as long as it suits your needs 2) like helmets, they vary as much as your hand size varies 3) not for everyone And there's no fire protection unless you are wearing a full suit and have proper passenger compartment protection. -alex |

Sparco Tides RG9
They are on the pricey side, but they have these awesome mini suction cups for grip. Feels like glue on your wheel or shift knob, plus they're handmade in Italy
