We are talking about dedicated performance cars here.... key word being dedicated. If I had 70k+ to spend on car(s)... I'd grab a used Golf TDI for all the practicality a man needs and then buy an Ariel Atom for when I'm in a bad mood and feel like hurting Ferrari/Lamborghini/Porsche drivers feeling. Or Get a used Golf TDI, then buy a FRS/S2000/Miata.. turbo the fuck out of it and then drop another ~20k on a 1199 Panigale for all the performance a person will honestly ever need in their life Clear cut vehicles for clear cut needs

None of the vehicles you mention even come close to meeting those standards. |

An FR-S + $10-15k to get sorted with tires, brakes, & forced induction would annihilate an RC-F on track and still cost a lot less money. |

And again that's because all the cars I listed are true sports cars... Yours isn't. They are built for one thing in mind... To go fast (relative to their price), they don't try to be anything else I have a Saab 9-5 aero and sure I can run down STi's and Evo's on the freeway, that doesn't mean I can claim it as a sports car, deceptively fast sedan, yes... Sports car... Not in a million miles You didn't want a sports car you wanted a GT cruiser with power.. And the RC-F does the latter flawlessly, so it's a win I my book for you

Your assumption is incorrect as I have run down forced induction/tired/braked FRS/BRZ's at PIR. I could have driven up their tailpipes in the corners, and easily driven by on the straights. I'm sure at some point with enough money a twin would be faster on the track, but I have yet to encounter one.

What I am telling you, from experience, is that you need to quit buying into internet opinions and broaden your perspective just a bit. The RC F handles better than any "sports car" I've owned. It is as or more neutral, feels nimble, hides its weight, and simply works. My entrance and exit speeds into corners I've been driving for 30 years are higher by a fair margin, exit speeds are not even comparable, top speed cannot be compared, and in every way the car is better. Label as you will, but I will still have a perma-grin after every track day. |

......Something your 240z and FRS would qualify as and your RC-F wouldn't? Quote:
The problem you seem to want to bat down is that your trying to compare a 70k+ car to bare bones sub 30k sports cars... and then expecting them to hold weight? (something that with tuning would hurt your RC-F's feelings on a track.. something you constantly bring up) If you want to compare fairly... compare sport cars in the same price range as your RC-F?.... lets say something along the lines of a GTS Cayman, Lotus Exige, Alfa 4c. I'll be nice and not even bring in something like a Z06. After doing that, I can bet my last penny that you won't ever put nimble and RC-F in the same sentence again.. But hey whatever floats your boat and makes you happy, be happy... we are all entitled to it lol

Again track times =/= sports car A Miata is more of a sports car than your RC-F by definition, and it would never beat an RC-F in anything but autocross I never said you did.....? I simply said that most people label anything with 4 wheels thats not a truck a sports car if it can break into the 12's in the 1/4.... I on the other hand don't

Honestly this debate is going in circles and I think we should just accept that we are going agree to disagree, and acknowledge the fact we at least both love cars, which is the bigger pictures
