It's not an auto!! And yeah I did drive it.
WOW. First the bad. The back seat is useless. I'm 5'10 and I sit pretty close to the steering wheel for someone my height. With the drivers seat in position there was maybe four inches between the front and back seat. I was planing on putting baby seats in the back, I'm not so sure now. Next, fitting a 12 inch sub in the trunk is going to be challenging. I can foresee some fiberglass work in my future. poop Oh, and the sound tube has got to go. The sound from it was more annoying then pleasing. I'll be un-corking the exhaust to return some engine noise. Now the good. Oh my god it's flat through a corner. I was not expecting it to be THAT good. We've all read everyone else's review, they weren't lying. Every other car I've modified I've started with weight, suspension and brakes. Trying to make the most of the available power before adding more. I think this is going to break that rule. I'm not going to touch that suspension, it's perfect. It looks awesome to, much better in person. The power was good, not awesome but certainly not lacking. I think the lack of body motion dampens the feeling of acceleration as most of us are expecting the car to squat when we get in the gas. One thing that's not going to effect most people looking at this car. As I said earlier, I'm 5'10. I'm also 250 lbs. We've all heard how great the seats are, they even fit my wide ass, perfectly. I don't know how the engineers did it. |

I didnt get a chance to drive it because they had just received it around the time i arrived; the plastic still on the wheels etc...i noticed it didnt appear to have the pioneer bespoke head unit... by the sound tube i assume you mean the tube they installed to let the engine sound into the drivers compartment area? I wonder what the purpose of that would be i gue Oh well minor issue. It is a lot smaller in person! Did they give you a firm date on when the next few are coming? |

It branches off about midway along the intake, goes to a housing containing a diaphragm / resonator, then continues to somewhere in the passenger footwell area of the firewall.

I forgot to mention the brakes. Tenacious is the only word I could think of to describe them. And very easy to modulate.
I don't know if the head unit was the Bespoke model, but it was pretty nice looking. I changed the station and volume to to get a feel of the buttons and it was also pretty intuitive. I did take notice of the HVAC controls, while they don't look particularly high end, they do look better in person. Yeah that's what I meant by sound tube. Holy carp it's TINY in person. I'm gonna go back today and see if I can get a baby seat in I think. I really hate the idea of buying a car that my boys can't enjoy. No firm date yet. |

Dealer in Toronto told me mine will be ready as early as Monday; which leads me to believe it's just sitting somewhere in a lot waiting to be trucked over to the dealership.

Got the same thing, mine is in CGY currently and will be released on the 1st or early next week.
I got my VIN now though so i feel better. RBC insurance gave me 180 a month i believe. this is 500/500 deductibles and im 24 with maybe a ticket or two on file in the last 3 years. In comparison my 2011 Sti costed me 210 a month with same coverage. |

If that was the arrangement, I'd be worried that with my car sitting around at the dealer waiting to be released, they might be tempted to use it as a demo for other customers.

My dealer (Subaru) has thought for months now it would be within a few days of June 15. A couple weeks ago he mentioned that his rep said he's trying to push for it to be a few days before June 15 since the Americans are getting their cars already. But we'll see.
The days seem to be ticking by really quickly. |
