We're moving onto FI testing which is what this manifold was designed for.

We have another idea for NA application we want to test once funds become available .

I guess my question is then was that WITH OR WITHOUt tuning as it was not specified.

Higher compression, higher rpm, aggressive cams, and wet shot of nitrous?

Arrrrggghhhh!!
Element ran into the same problem with big valve NA heads more damage then good minimal gains for lots of work. I think 54mm is too big of an opening. 52 is almost a perfect match just a little larger. Lost velocity with 54mm. Maybe too small of a plenum as well for the flow.
Only a guess.

Be interesting to know what the results were on the NA test and what exactly didn't work and where.
Spoke to them directly on the phone about a month ago, picked their brains. Headgames Motorsports has the same result. Lots of work minimal gains.

No one has flow bench tested this head yet to play with port designs. adding putty removing material to find out if it can be improved.

Flow numbers though. I was getting comparable flow to some 2-litre 4-pot heads i've done that are over 1000bhp on big turbos. Hence my comment its not the flow. Air velocity was very poor in the head.
This is awesome news! You really should make a thread about this. It amazes me how little development has gone toward trying to make decent NA from this motor.

I have a few questions I'd like to ask, but I'll save them for another thread so we don't take this one over too much.

So even with a good tune this pretty piece will only hurt performance for NA applications? Damn shame I wanted this so badly.

I've been waiting for ages for someone to post CFM on these heads. Frankly it's been pretty embarrassing for this community. Unless not posting them was to prevent further embarrassment.

From the beginning we stated this was not designed for NA power. We continued to say this throughout the development of this manifold. We decided to test it anyway to see what it was capable of as so many people thought it would work. It performed better than we anticipated to be honest.

We are working on developing another idea for the NA crowd but are keeping it close to chest for awhile until we are ready to release that information.

For now, we are moving forward with FI testing on this manifold.

Sorry for the long delay, I have been very busy with other Velox projects.

my comment was supposed to be entirely sarcastic. Look forward to seeing the results as the FI application moves along.

Good to know. I don't remember seeing anywhere that it wasn't designed for NA, but fair enough. Here's hoping the NA part will be insane. Good luck to you, man.
