I imagine it would make the car doors harder to close. Right now it's ridiculously easy, it fully closes when i just let the door swing back.

Thanks! Anyone reading this I highly recommend that if you do want jdm or any other imported parts talk to they guys over at Carson Toyota. They are very helpful and on top of things

Googling "scca" and "door stabilizer" turns up 81 results, several of them referencing this exact application.
A similar search for "scca" and "sway bar" turns up 269,000 results.
Color me skeptical of a performance part that hasn't been discussed ad nauseum by autocrossers and the like.

So has anyone installed this? Can they significantly tell a difference and think it would be worth the $200 or so dollars it costs?
