It's not a one vs the other.. It's D_K's specific S2 vs D_K's specific FT. The gremlin in the setup hasn't been fleshed out and it's unknown that once the setup is nailed if it will equal the performance of the other. At least that's my take.

False, argument is false.
Just because Macs are on a Porsche doesn't mean Macs are good. One could make the same false comparison inversely such as: "Just think how good those Porsches could be if they had proper suspension!" See what I did there?

Actually, it is a good argument because Porsches are already capable cars. It proves that MacPherson struts can be usable for the kind of performance Porsches are capable of, which is quite a lot. Whether double wishbones would make them faster or not is irrelevant to how fast they already are with struts.
