HKS resonated Front Pipe Question

Hey,

I'm about to pull the trigger on the HKS resonated front pipe. I've been searching around a bit this morning and can't seem to find much information about it.

The HKS name is sort of reassuring, but anyone here have one? Any issues? Fitment, sound, durability, etc? How are the double resonators?

Can anyone confirm what the pipping size is, not one retailer seems to have it stated.

Pretty much the only reason I'm going for this one is because I want a resonated FP and this seems to be the only one that fits the AT thats under within $350ish...T.T another downside to having the AT.

Thanks!

I have one and the fitment is awesome. I cannot really comment on anything else as I've only had it a month or two. I've had the Ark with helmholtz and the P&L with highflow cat. I would say sound wise they are all pretty similar. But it's hard to tell since I have also been running it with the Tomei 80R which is loud as hell and drones like crazy. HKS fitment was the best of the 3. Mine has been mated up to both the stock overpipe and the Motiv Concepts overpipe. If you do a search on here another member, or two, talks about this front pipe. Here is the product page that tells you the size. http://www.hks-power.co.jp/en/produc...haust/db/15336

Installed hks dual resonated front pipe about two months ago. Paired it with the hks spec l hi power catback. 2.5" easily connects with oem front pipe. Sound perfect, nice rumble without being overly loud. Couple track associates have also installed hks dual resonated front pipe and all very satisfied. Found very noticeable impact on throddle and torque when installed. Would buy again without hesitation.

Thanks everyone that replied.
Writing down my experience for anyone else looking to purchase it in the future.

I put it on yesterday and drove it today, with my set up it was just barely louder than than the OEM fp throughout the revs, opens up a tad more uphigh but that's it. Two resonatos are good.
Can really hear the uel rumble now which is nice.

Fitment is on point and installation is simple...just had issues with rusted bolts on OEM
I ordered it from ft86speedfsctory and it came with a gasket, no bolts though.
Beautiful looking piece thatll keep sound down at a good price, would recommend.
As for increase in power....probably just like any other fp, butt dyno says yes.

Do you have any sound clips? I'm curious as to how it sounds with your setup.

I have read that the HKS dual resonated will reduce drone from a loud exhaust (n1/evo) but I also read that nothing will be as quiet as the stock fp. Does anyone have opinions on this?

My setup was Skunk2 header, Tomei OP, P&L catted FP and Perrin resonated 2.5 CBE. The car was loud but it wasn't a good loud.

Switched out the P&L for the HKS twin resonated and now the car is still loud but it's a very clean sound if that makes any sense.

PS. if anyone wants to buy the P&L catted FP pm me

Where did you get your hks from? Do you know of anywhere that has it in stock?

The HKS dual res did nothing for drone reduction on my Tomei 80R. But then again, we are talking about an 80R hehe.

As for where to get the HKS, just google HKS dual resonated front pipe. It'll pull up several places that sell them. I bought mine from here.http://www.ft86speedfactory.com/hks-...-pipe-666.html

I found KamiSpeed to have the best price at $280 shipped:
