I do have to disagree with one point though. There is a very large group of us here where the car is damned near perfect as is. I could name probably 100 of the top of my head but Ultra, Trom and Sar pop right to mind. We are the crowd that just drive it and don't get bent out of shape over dyno graphs and if the engine bay is pretty. We clock our miles, get our groceries and have fun when it presents itself. Those that want to street race or feel they need more can look down upon us if they wish but we are the guys the car was really made for and will be the ones that keep it alive.

Nah. If he even thinks of the U.S. Market he knows what he wants to build and will do that. It is an American myth that what they want rules what the rest of the world does and as many of these cars that do get sold here there are far more worldwide. This is not a Mustang with 99% domestic sales we are talking about and the "needs more power" is mostly a North Americin battle cry.

Well Tada may have won the first round or two but real world rules apply and eventually these groups will take over. I think we are already seeing this with the step by step dumbing down "improvements " each model year.

I don't feel like reading the whole thread, but I am kind of curious what was said that would change my interpretation of the quote. It just seems hard to keep something "alive" that you don't own.
