Again, this is a cruise not a full-fledged canyon run like some of you regulars may be familiar with. Don’t worry we will still have plenty of opportunities to do the traditional 86DRIVE adventures too. But this will be an 86DRIVE Star-earning event. Come out to the show with us and earn a Star that will go towards yet-to-be-determined awesome raffle prizes at the end of the summer!

(By the way, coming out to the Summer Kickoff event on Saturday will also earn you a Star -- just stop by the 86DRIVE tent to say hi and collect your first Star of the summer on an 86DRIVE card!)

Bummer! Another event that I can't come. Work work work.. When can you let me go. Lol. Have fun!

Here's a few pics I snapped at the event today. Such a crazy turnout and a good mix of all types of cars. Definitely needs some more FT86 representation though.

I don't understand it, but I sure as hell respect it.

I've just posted an announcement about the SummerDRIVES on the 86DRIVE website. Not all the summer schedule has been worked out yet, but our next planned drive will be on Fri July 3 - I'm thinking a lot of people may have that Friday off due to the Independence day holiday and it will be a great time to go for a drive. For those of you who don't get that Fri off, we will also do an early morning cruise (like earlier this month) on Sun Jul 5 to the Blackhawk Cars & Coffee.

Thanks. I wont be able to go on the 3rd, but I will be there for Blackhawk. My birthday is on the 6th, so it will be an early gift to me to check out some sweet cars.

Soooo... Any consensus on the route for this drive? Would love to join in but I'm limited by time. If its going to be an old skool early morning drive and done at around 10am, I'm gtg

I would recommend redwood rd/pinehurst/grizzly peak, but tbh I've grown a little tired of it since that's the only road I get to drive now a days. Any other ideas?

I haven't decided... one thought was redwood/skyline and maybe to Treasure Island for pictures...

YES! OK here is the general plan for Friday morning:

Friday 7/3/2015
8:00AM Meet at Rudy's Donuts in Castro Valley
8:15AM Roll out to Redwood Rd - Skyline - Golf Links Rd
8:45AM Take I-580W to Treasure Island ($6 bridge toll)
9:15AM Arrive Treasure Island for group photo
10:00AM for those who are interested we can go somewhere for breakfast or lunch after.

Meet up:

No Racing - No Revving - No Crashing

Bring radios, camera, water, sunscreen, money (for food & toll)

Awesome sounding drive, stay safe and take lots of pics/video. I'd join but I'm picking my dad up from the airport on Friday.

We are planning on hitting up the cars & coffee in Blackhawk on Sunday though!
