So I assume this is where they added the sound deadening?

Yap, but it's added in the way that basically minimal weight was added to the car.

The only thing I can see them revising on the draw stiffeners are the springs inside. However, I would think they should be the same on this new setup and no need for a revision.

I'm also wary on switching the V-bars, as those bolts are known to strip easy. Once they are stripped your chassis is pretty much done for.

Another train of thought is that; if they are revising all these gear, how would that translate to tire selection? Would the new setup require tires with more grip?

I ordered the damper kit seeing how it is now on the STI Performance catalog and says it is compatible with the non-tS setup. I can really use more shock travel on these crappy Toronto roads.
Did you mean the new STI V-bars will have shorter lifetime issue?
Thanks.

No that's not what I meant. You just need to be extra careful with those nuts on the V-bars as they are easy to strip if overtorqued.

The nuts are welded to the towers, and they tend to snap off, not strip.

Also, with these better pictures, it appears the black part beside where the fog lights would go isn't painted on or a sticker, but an actual part. The same goes for the red/pink stripe up front. Back stripe I can't tell.

Really wonder what's changed for the stability control stuff, and if it's software or hardware related. Also wondering what's changed for the dampers.

I wanted to build a tS copy, but they keep moving the goalpost dammit...

Hopefully they sell the lipstick trim.

Love the fact that they added sound deadening to the dash area. I hate all the plastic noises being emitted from going over bumps.

Can't decide if I like the new or old fender accent better... Regardless I'll probably get the new one since it comes in the right color.

This should be the last hurrah of the Zenki BRZ from STI.
