Are you running the stock exhaust from the mid-pipe back?

With the resonated Perrin CBE (which is on the car due to fitment with the Driveway Labs diffuser), it replaces your stock midpipe and muffler. I am not sure that it would have any effect on performance for one over the other. I do know of some people running the stock midpipe and muffler without any issues on other headers. It would be quieter that way.

This header paired with a motiv over-pipe, motiv test pipe (front), and perrin 2.5" RESONATED cat-back sounded like SHIT.

Horrible rasp and way too loud.

I swapped out the Motiv test pipe with a dual resonated HKS pipe.

Sounds like sexy butter now...you can barely hear the car when its idling...quite on the interstate....sounds so good.

Thanks guys. I was actually eyeing the Motiv parts but that is crossed off my list now. My friend is taking me for a ride in his BRZ later today so I can hear it. His setup is slightly different (Nameless header and downpipe to stock exhaust), but it will at least give me an idea.

I wouldn't cross them off for the over-pipe...the quality is fantastic.

Their test-pipe would be okay for a dedicated track car...but they almost make a front pipe with catalytic converter in it....

I decided to remove cats altogether so I couldn't go with a Motiv front pipe...i wish they made a dual resonated one like HKS

I just realized you said test pipe. I'm currently running a HFC and whatever I go with must have one as well. Thanks!

I believe JDL makes a dual resonated and catted front pipe. I've been interested in it because of the pinging sound from Nameless' Hemholtz resonator.

I can't stress enough how much better a dual resonated front pipe sounds (completely catless)

I don't have any good audio (new setup is a mic in the trunk) but I do have this...putuning catless headers, motiv overpipe, HKS dual resontaed front pipe, Perrin 2.5" resonated

IIRC, they make a catted and single-resonated front pipe, called the "Ultra quiet" front pipe.

That's really nice!! I'm going to have to meet up with you at Road Atlanta so we can race together.

What did you wrap the header with? Does the wrap trap moisture?

@ptuning I had sent an e-mail back mid-June regarding the cam timings for the header (my girlfriend was the one who picked up the header for me @ Boxerfest) but never heard back?
