It absolutely came with the standard wheels. The only performance part it has (I'm not counting the quad exhaust) is the springs. Everything else you get in the same fashion as the other FR-S'.

Initial drive had the steering wheel slightly off center...what's up with that? Put the Bridge stones back on in the rear and it went back to the (almost) perfectly straight position....
Props for trying something wild, but I don't see that working on several levels. I suspect you will have lots of oversteer, and your 60' times may actually be worse.

That said, good luck!

Sean, could it be that you're down on power a little? Maybe some electrical gremlins, timing being pulled, anything of that sort?

have you ever had it analyzed on a dyno with A/F monitoring etc.

I don't see it working either, but I need to try something. I don't think I could have drove the car much faster at the last Pro, and it came up just short. Tall tires just aren't that good off the line, so I went for the total opposite approach. My car has 54k miles on it now, but I don't feel it's down on power, it's just not as fast as the other cars from a dig, on 235/45/17 rear tires....

Could run 245 all around, or do something weird like run staggered 225 or 235 front for better turn in, and 245 rear. It'd understeer, but you could always try to tune that out with the swaybar.

Edit: Actually, would it even understeer? You're in an FRS on the TRD springs, and if the spring rates are close to the quoted ones in some threads, the car should now oversteer a bit more.

My 60' times are actually good, they're about the same as Manfred's 245 Rival-S's, it's 60 feet, to the first braking zone I need to improve upon. I understand I'll be well into third on these tires on most national style courses, but again, I need to try something...and I'm not buying Penske shocks....Christ.

Also, I won a Match Tour last year on staggered 225/245 Rivals, it doesn't understeer.

You need to go read your latest fastrack. All FRS including 1.0 are CS.

Maybe it's a southern thing

But I will let them make the decision...
I think those wheels are only port options for SouthEast Toyota. You may want to see if you contact anyone in SET to confirm whether or not the SET port option list is approved by Toyota Motor Sales. If so, I think you might have a case

Otherwise, the SAC may take factory options offered by SET as non-official, as they are not actually a Toyota company, but rather a private USA distribution company with the power to operate autonomously.

The 235/45-17 rears are like 3/4" taller than stock tires. That will KILL your 60 foot times if you don't have gobs of bottom end. If possible I always try to go for a slightly shorter tire than stock. 235/40 would be ideal, but since they're not available in the RE71, I went to 225/45 which is .3" taller . These are not drag cars, make up for the 60 foot times by nailing .520's or better on the tree.

Check my sixty times from Wilmington, I'm in the game with 2.2xx times, and .50x lights, you just have to launch at 5.5k to get the right wheel spin. but the tall tires do not hurt the 60 foot times, like you think. I just feel like once the tires hook up the car does not have enough low end torque to get going and keep up with the other cars.

I meant it has been proposed for BS but has been turned down.

My only real concern for an unfair advantage is the lowering springs because of the lower center of gravity that can't be achieved in my BRZ unless I move up to STX. I'm not too bothered by the sway bars, 18s.

But in general I'm not concerned about the TRD FR-S personally. All the more reason to be just that much better of a driver.

I'd love to hear reviews.
Tirerack lists 5 sizes across 4 diameters. Oops.

when I made my post yesterday it was already listed at 6

maybe your page was cached from back then when it was all ambiguous.

If they're a treaded V710 with some voodoo magic, I think it should be an amazing tire. Definitely would be nice to see Khumo back in the game at the street level.
